Velocity Express cheating employees on their paychecks, dont pay what they promise union city, California

My name is paul. i work with Velocity Express as a independent contractor for deliveries.
I start with Velocity Express they promise me 55% out of what they get. But they did not want to tell me that they will pay me .55c per mile. They also promise me if i wont do anything they will pay me $110 per day. They even promise me for Gas money. When i sign application and received my first pay check after 3 weeks it was surprised me that it was not even $110 a day. They promise me to do Walgreen deliveries but after 2 weeks they start sending me everywhere their other pharmacies.

They were keeping $130 every week from my pay check that was not even explained. They call it deductions. That was big surprise for me. That means over $500 a month.

This also surprised me that they charge me for my uniform but i just got 2 shirts. They charged me for 3 shirts, 3 pents and jacket. Then they said they dont have any more uniforms yet.

When i called the office to talk to manager they said she is so busy and cant talk to me. Then i decide to not work tell i get explained for my first two pay checks. She finally called me when she knew that i wont work and letting me know that i wont get my 2 pay checks because i am quitting before a year.

So everyone if you dont have job its ok but dont waste your time for these kind of cheap companies.
Dont even sign their contract if they wont explain you every each single point. I hope it will be helpful for everyone.
