Verizon FIOS Customer Service Banned me from Contacting them on the Message Boards Nationwide

I wanted to email Verizon to discuss the possiblity of waiving the early termination fee. After online chat session with customer supports failed, I tried to email them as was directed to their so call "Community" forums

When I posted my grievance the only answers that I can get are from people who I personally believe are paid to sit on these boards all day to denigrade and belittle those who have complaints that they do not deem worthy to escalate to actual support. I don't believe regular people with a life and a job, will sit on a forum all day defending a major corporation and not get paid for it.

When I called them out on this, the moderator first silenced my account to "ready only" and when I created a new one, they banned my ip address for trying to circumvent the process. They also edited the string to make sure they got the last word so that that the dispute ends making them look favorable. [continued below]....

..... I did not use profanity or make personal insults to any of the forum members. I remember calling one a "shill" which I believe they most likely are, but I don't think that was grounds for banning me.

I emailed the head of Customer Support  and told her about my experience and I made sure that my email was exceptionally polite.She never got back to me.

As far as the termination fee, I can take no for an answer but as a customer for 4 years and a wireless customer for 10, I'd expect to be treated a little better, and speak to somebody who actually has the authority to make that decision.

I am still banned from using the support site.

forum censors nonabusive posts

Not everyone who is banned by the Verizon thought police in the forums was banned for "bad behavior", foul language or threats.  Some people aren't afraid to politely speak their mind to Verizon and criticize them for their horrible customer service and abusive billing practices, such as a payment arrangement option on the website that they refuse to honor and which is apparently nonexistent.  And we don't all want to call them and get some Indian that can't speak English or be understood by Americans.  I waited a week after posting a problem with a payment arrangement not being honored or even acknowledged by Verizon, then I got emailed by an Indian who expected me to call their 800 number to stop the suspension notice I shouldn't have gotten after I made a payment arrangement on their useless website.  The forum moderator got defensive  because I actually stated the truth about what goes on in their horrible customer service and accused me of being "abusive", when my post was politely worded, no bad language or name calling, etc.  So now the thought police set my account to read-only to punish me for telling the truth and not being afraid to politely and maturely speak my mind. The Indian that emailed me insisted that "making a payment arrangement wasn't the same thing as scheduling a payment" - obviously not a native speaker of English, and I won't deal with that treatment as no one should.

I emailed the pc moderator and told him as soon as I can come up with the early termination fee I'm out of there and totally done with Verizon's abuse, incompetent billing dept and foreigners, and their bait and switch.  They also claimed I'd be saving a lot of money by switching to a home phone/Internet FIOS bundle, and it's costing me $25 MORE a month!!! If you criticize people who get banned from the forums and you don't work for them and you don't know the person's story, you're as bad as the Verizon thought police and their horrible customer service.  Keep drinking the koolaid, Stepford citizen.

Dear Sir/Ma'am,

 I did not file this report because I claim to be anybody special. I do acknowledge the legal responsibility to pay a termination fee, but there are situations in which a manager or somebody with the right authority can either waive or withhold those fees under circumstances which may be applicable in my case. I just wanted to speak to somebody with such authority to make this decision and would have happiliy accepted either a yes or no.  

The grievance that I do have is in the dismissive nature in which this case was handled. I did not intent to post in the forum anonymously as my login was tied to my account. I was really seeking support because that is where I was directed.

And you are correct in saying that they have a right to arbitrarily ban me from the forum, but I also have the right to expose such practices because it is a very poor way of handling customer complains, grievances or requests in my opinion. You may think different and that is your right.

I didn't mean to make you distraught regarding my post. And sorry to disappoint you, but I am not in my undies ;-)

 I know times are a bit tough, but WHAT makes YOU think that YOU don't have to pay what EVERYONE ELSE has to pay?? And lets be honest here, youre not THAT special. If they banned YOU then YOU did something to warrant that treatment. What gets me is that in your mind YOU THINK your so d**n special that the rules and policies don't apply to YOU. YOU are trying to get THEM to give you a pass on the upgrade fee. YOU are the one getting banned for YOUR behavior online. YOU ARE THE PROBLEM!!!!! Build a bridge and get over it. YOU are the reason YOU are no longer allowed to post on THEIR forums. It IS their property, it is run and PAID for by THEM. If THEY don't like YOUR negativity on THEIR property. THEY have the 100% right to BAN you!!!! Its no different then showing your a*s in public. At some point you WILL be asked to leave and NEVER return. Just because YOU are sitting on the computer in your undies doesn't change the dynamic of social behavior. Perhaps YOU need to take a hard look at YOU. YOU display sociopathic tendencies. You may wish to seek help. There is NO RIPOFF HERE!!!! Just a consumer who THINKS they are BETTER then everyone else. This consumer is trying to get out of paying what they LEGALLY OWE per the contract they signed. And JUST to prove YOUR point WRONG.....I DONT work for Verizon. I AM a Verizon customer. And YES I am at work responding to YOUR post. Nope, no one pays me for MY OPINION. And I rebut on this site because of consumers like YOU. Self-entitled, self-important dipwads who think they can use the web to post their LIES and get away with it. At some point someone HAS to stand up and take a stand against this type of behavior. Just because its ONLINE doesn't mean you don't have a stake in what YOU put out there!!!! YOU do things like THIS because YOU think you are safe online. That No ONE will EVER know it was YOU who made this post. I hate to break it to you, but YOU are NOT anonymous online. EVERYTHING you do is logged somehow somewhere. All it would take is a court order presented to ANY site YOU have visited and they will have 100% proof it was YOU who visited. If you don't wish to believe me, look at your current situation. THEY banned YOUR IP address. Your IP address is tied to YOUR ACCOUNT!!! THEY KNOW IT WAS YOU!!!!
