I signed up with Verizon Online Web Hosting about a year ago.
After two weeks of trying to get them to spell my company name correctly, I told them to cancel this account.
Which you are suppost to be able to do before 30 days of signup. My company name is Sassymoon Artworks. They put: Sassmoon and Sassy Moon, and for a website and email address it has to be correct, I already have my website up and running and it has been for several years before I thought I would change my host.
And the reason for the change was to make it EASIER so it would be billed right along with my phone bill and dsl that I also get from Verizon.
So after spending 3 hrs at a time on the darn phone trying to get it straightened out, I told them to just cancel it!
My website would remain where it was. So they emailed me a form, two times I think and many emails telling me how to do it, but they never did cancel the darn account.
The website was NEVER set up correctly and I was on the phone every day for Hours trying to straighten it out! And now, Verizon is billing me every month for this thing which I thought I cancelled 3 or 4 times!
After finally getting who I thought was the correct person to tell all this to on the phone, and said just cancel this thing, I thought they would DO IT!
But now we have received another bill, which we are not paying and many more, as now it has been almost a year. I did everything they asked and still they did not cancel the account.
And they tried to re-register my website under the name, with internic, which is the company that holds the web addresses, and I told them over and over that I was already registered with them under the name, UGH!!!
I don't know what else to do, the bill is now up to $379.98 and this drives me crazy that it never got cancelled.
We are now worried about our credit rating. And they have never sent us a late notice but the amount keeps going up and up!
Can you help, this is crazy!!!!
