Verizon Wireless Dropped Calls! No Service! No Help from Verizon Wireless Bellevue Washington

Even though there's a cell tower within 2-1/2 miles of where I stay in Arizona, I have trouble getting service on my cellphone: no signal, dropped calls, etc.

Verizon Wireless told me to take my phone to a store to have them check it out -- I've done that THREE times and my phone is fine. The problem is that they have their tower pointed toward a highway and open desert and not toward the neighborhood where I stay. There are elderly people and a very sick child in the neighborhood; God help us if the power should go out and there be an emergency. If they would just put in a booster on their existing tower, everyone in the neighorhood would have service!

When I spoke with Verizon Wireless the last time, they said that they wouldn't be doing anything about the dropped calls, service requests and trouble tickets that come in from my neighborhood until 2009. This is NOT acceptable!

I have a $400 phone and pay $80 per month for service and I have to drive a mile down the road in order to get service. I'm not the only one, either. At least three other people in my neighborhood call #611 every week to try to get this situation taken care of; all of us have just gotten a runaround.

Please make Verizon Wireless take care of their paying customers!
