Dan, Minneapolis, Mn I went into a Verizon Wireless store on Aug.30, 2012 with the intentions of getting rid of my overpriced Internet I already have and down sizing to a cheaper service. I explained my whole situation to the sales rep and he said that he understands completely and he has just what I need. He asked me what type of things we use the Internet for. i told him that we just surf and play word with friends, every once in awhile we check our bank accounts. He asked, do we ever watch net flicks or movies or anything like that. I said no. He brought me over to the Jetpack 4620L MiFi that cost $150.00. He said all you need to do is plug it in somewhere in the house that's safe and we will have wireless Internet throughout the house. I asked, how much? He stated that 4G would be $50.00 a month, but if we were to happen to go over in "G's ", that it would be $15.00 a G for every G over your plan.

To be on the safe side, I did the 6g plan for $80.00 a month. Still lower than I was paying with my other service. I also bought an insurance plan for my Jetpack in case it got damaged in anyway ( my choice ). I left the Verizon store that day paying $268.18 ( Aug 30 ). On Sept. 15 I received a bill for $165.99, I paid it figuring we had hook up charges etc. on Oct 9th I received a bill for 299.15. I tried to work things out with Verizon, but they are unwilling. I asked where I stand as far as G's for the month of Oct so far ( 9 days into the month ). I was told that we were already at 9 G's, 1G over my limit. So I had to cancel my plan with Verizon 49 days after I started it and it is going to end up costing us $733.32 + in the end and we are told we have to pay a $170.00 cancelation fee above that ecause of the two year contract I was required to sign before I received this thing. This was not just fraud. This was unethical, robbery, and deceitful.
