My cat was attacked by a stray dog the day before thanksgiving we rush right over to VERG cause they were the only vet open at time. Cat was brought right in to take a look about 1 hour later they came out and said my cat needs surgery etc.... we asked for pricing they came back saying it could cost anywhere from $2,000 to $4,000. We asked them if bleeding had stop and if we could wait so we can contact our vet they said no prob. Next day they called up and said that the cat is worse then they said and she needs major surgery we went in to see her, i didnt want to keep her they but they made me feel that she shouldnt be moved, they said surgeon whould be in on in a week and would do the surgery( my bill is now $1,900 +). They explain because her wounds are soo bad its going to cost several thousand of dollars never giving me a price i ask if it would be over $4,000 and they said yes. I didnt want to wait so long so I asked them to release her and I would be taking her to my vet. I made it to my vet within an hour and when they looked at her they explained to me that all wounds werent that bad and just needs some stiching. (they are only charging me $1,000). This vet plays on emotions and rips there clients off. Thankfully I got my cat out in time before the bill got toooo high. I will never go here again.
