SEO Reputation Management at its best!

Also be warned this company never tells you who they really are, they use several other names. Most common are buyers edge and home rewards. Found out the true name though plenty of digging!

This company calls my wife on our cell phone, didn't know how they got that number at first. They tell her that for $3.00 she can get discounted gas at any station of her choice. For $5.00 off a fillup. The total of coupons was to be $50.

She was also told that she had been chosen to recieve several magazines (US, ESPN, The Weekly, and Rolling Stone) FREE for two years. And along with these would come several free trial memberships. Such as Premier Health Trends, Home Rewards, Buyers edge, and a couple others i don't have here in front of me at the moment. My Wife said "As long as it free send them!"

Wasn't I surprised to get called by the fruad dept of my credit card company. Turns out that FREE came at quite a price. And how Did they get my Card number? My wife never gave it to them. I had the card in my back pocket at the time.

I tried to get in contact with this company, but wouldn't you know it they never left a number. So I called a number that came with the Buyers edge packet i had just opened. They claimed they did not know what i was talking about. But when i threatened them with fraud charges I was quickly connected with Colleen English with Vici Marketing.

I told Ms English that she needed to cancel and credit back enverything her company has charged me. She went on to inform me that my wife bought these items. So I asked how they got my card information. She told me my wife gave it to them, including the three digit code on back of card. After pressing the issue that I had the card in my possession and that was impossible, she admitted to getting it from another company. My wife had bought something from on a tv infomercial! How is this legal for another company giving another company my credit card info? But added she had to still give that last 4 digits and the 3 numbers on back of card! That I still know is a lie!!! As I had the card and hell, even I don't know the numbers she claimed to have been given. She also informed me that it was up to me to call all these companies I was slammed into.

She went back and listened to a recording of my wifes call to get me the compies "I" had to call. I guess they were hoping to still geet their cut in "selling" these items. But why didn't she want to send me a copy of that tape? I wonder....

So if you have been hit here are the numbers:
ESPN 1-888-267-3684
US and Rolling Stone 1-800-283-1549
Home rewards 1-888-425-5874
Premier Health Trends. The number Vici gives you is 1-800-331-1757 call that number for a good laugh, all i could get was a recording that when you follow directions all you get is a busy signal. But another Premier Health co-op has got so many calls from pissed off people they keep this company's real phone # posted. That number is 1-877-891-7522. But expect a long wait due to so many pissed off people calling it to cancel.

There are a couple other #'s but those companies are very nice and send you cancelation cards so they are easy to take care of. Also buying anything though this company it is much higher than if you just order it yourself. According to their website, they sell a great deal more products including "discount" vacations! Run scared! They only thing you should even say to this company is remove me from all of your lists and delete your credit card info!

Allow Me To Rebut

AUTHOR: Telemarketer - (United States of America)

I worked for this company for 2 years back when they were doing this type of program with buyers edge and my advisor. it is important for all of you people who are quick to come to this site and report, the only way that most companies get your CC info is if YOU made a purchase with a marketing partner. This means that YOU either made a purchase through a magazine, mail order catalog, infomercial, over the telephone or the internet. YOU gave these individuals your CC info to buy whatever you wanted and you agreed to have your info transferred to other companies for marketing purposes.. now you may have not known it at the time no one ever does because the choose not to read these terms of aggrements and just click ok or bubble it in. also every phone call is recorded where the person on the other end agrees and says yes,ok,alright or correct to the term described in phone call so even if you were to try and sue these companies or take them to court you would lose the case cause YOU agreed yet again before thinkin to these charges... trust me when i say i was in verifacation dept. for 2 years we read the same script everyday and its recorded from start to finish... So maybe next time you wanna buy something do it in person and swipe your card and you wont have to make these difficult decisions to blindly agree to somehting you have no idea about... just a word of advice

AUTHOR: Repentanttelemarketer9 - (U.S.A.)

In 3 years I never saw a manager snort coke, but several highly stressed operators certainly poured a little Russian style high octaine consolation into their water bottles. considering the stress levels there, I and unsure I can blame them.

VICI is a member of a very large marketing organization called the DMA. (Direct Marketing Association) They offer many services, programs, and calling databases. They are quite a clearing house

THE CARD DATA IS NOT AT VICI; it is at the common CC card processing center.

Vici is very big on making deals, lots of deals, and will fire people for not making deals. They also are keenly aware of the threats offered to them by hostile public and law enforcement, and bend over backwards to stay JUST inside the law. They pressure you a lot to make sales, then if you step over the line trying to do so, they fire you for it if they catch you at it. This way they get away with being able to denigh the things their employees pull to keep up with the demand os the job, and keep their paychecks.

YOU DID initially provide your card information to SOMEONE when you bought SOMETHING from SOME firm, and DMA processed the purchase and CC transaction. The call recording is provided along with the order information, and they process it baised on the authorization you provided in the recorded conversation.

This is not 'fraud' as the law defines it. (possibly the law could use a tuneup?) Some of the oeprators do a poor job of explaining things. All these many firms are 'marketing partners' (a phrase that is mentioned many times in critical areas of the relevant laws regarding telemarketing) and you initally bought something from one of them. They all use a common credit card processor. The other firms do not have your CC, the processor does.

Get in there. Go low, innocent, remember everything. It's not Vici, it's not even Platinum 1 Marketing group, go after the big hub of the wheel, and watch all the spokes fall to the ground, useless without the center of the octopus.
