Video Only - HIUE HOANG REFUND and EXCHANGE ripoff Hayward California

It states on the receipt, under the 30 DAY REFUND POLICY section, that, "If for any reason, you are unhappy with the equipment you purchase from VIDEO ONLY, you may return it for FULL REFUND within 30 days of purchase. Units must be factory sealed".

Other than the grammatical error, this policy is misleading and needs re-phrasing to show intent that they don't really do refunds, but just exchanges.

On January 13, 2007, I returned an LCD TV that caused terrible eye strain costing $ 1,749.99 one day after the purchase. I was told that because the box was opened, they can only do in-store credit and cannot give the money back.

Apparently, "factory sealed" for them is when you bought a video equipment like a 42" wide screen TV, take the sealed 80 pound, 4' by 6' box home, and without opening it, decide if you are happy with the unit or not. Does this make sense at all to you?

When I specifically asked the salesman, HIUE HOANG, if I can return the unit if I am not happy with it, he said ,"Sure, as long as it's in the original box", which was the case when I returned it. He knew I had doubts about the unit, but if he told me that, for real, that they only do exchanges and not refunds, I would have brought my business to somewhere else.
