Viking Dodge Posts price on Internet & won't let me buy! ripoff Crystal Lake Illinois

I am reporting a real BS deal. I called this company based on their internet prices. They are a little more reasonable then what I pay in my state. I am planning a vacation to the area and would like to purchase a vehicle rather than use a rental and fly back home.
I know they usually run a decent price in the Rockford newspaper because I vacationed there last summer.
When they called me they said that they actually had a promotional price vehicle in stock for $12,495. I told "Abe" I would take it ....then he hee hawed around and told me he couldn't do the deal but his manager would call me back.

Well, I waited 4 hours for his "manager" to call me back - to no avail. I finally called him back and told him I was ready to make the deal.

Then he ranted on about how he couldn't sell it to me over the phone and all of this stuff that I know is BS because I have done this type of purchase before. For heavens sake, I have purchased an $85,000 Navistar Dumptruck over the phone before.

Then I asked him if I paid for the $14.066 van - could the deal happen then. He also said no!

He told me I would have to come in and take care of it all.

Well, I don't know about the next guy, but I sure hate all the BS that goes on at a dealership when I want to buy a car.

I tried to explain to him that I am flying into O'Hare and I don't have time for any BS. When I arrive at the airport I want to head over to Viking Dodge - with my Alaskan plates already in my hand - put my plates on and leave.

What is so hard about that?

Anyhow, this guy, rude as all heck told me to buy my vehicle up here.

You would think they would have loved that money up front. I didn't even care what color I got or options.
Then, after that, I did the internet search on this company and I understand fully. They wanted to get me in there to jerk me around and add $5000 more on to the price. They weren't planning on selling any van for 14,066 - let alone $12495.

I am placing this on the internet will full intent of getting in touch with the owner. If he can satisfy my concerns - then I will write my own rebuttal. But in the meantime - what a crock of bull!
