I met him by doing business with a company he worked for as a salesman.  He lied and mislead us into believing he had started his own equipment company.  He sold my company a piece of equipment for $9000.  He was always available to answer any questions or concerns.  When we agreed to purchase the equipment, at his request, I sent him a cashier's check via UPS. After he received my check, he stopped answering his phone.  He was supposed to have purchased the machine from an equipment wholesaler and resale to me. He did not pay the equipment wholesaler, took my money and fled.  I am now out $9000.

From online research, I found that he previously owned a company called American Splicing LLC in Michigan.  He scammed many people through his company out of thousands of dollars by taking their money and not sending equipment or sending defective equipment.  He has gotten away with this by conducting transactions for little enough amount that he will not be investigated.  He continues to scam because he knows he will not be punished.
