Run or Dye 5k, put on by Viral Events, LLC, is a SCAM taking hundreds of thousands of $$$$ from unsuspecting charities, vendors and individuals Nationwide

Run or Dye has been withholding payment from vendors and the charities since the beginning of 2014 but yet they have beem holding race events all year...many with tremendous turn outs. They claim they are doing poorly because of the economy and lack of interest in 5k's or because of unfair competitve practices of "other" color run races.  While these excuses may seem believable at first glance, look again.  

Run or Dye likes to plan and advertise races that they do not yet have permission to hold in whatever city or venue they may have listed on their website.  Then they "merge" races and cite lack of interest as their excuse for cancelling on events last minute.  This is after they've collected hundreds of thousands of registrations.  Then they "change" their refund policy on their website to this - 

"Like most live events, we don't offer refunds on registrations.  If an event needs to be postponed due to severe weather, we will do our best to reschedule the event, and your registrations will be honored at the new date if we are able to find a make-up event; there is no guarantee of this, of course.  If an event is rescheduled due to any other reason, no refunds will be issued".

Hmm, that means if they decide to collect thousands of dollars for an event and then cancel it for any "other" reason..they get to keep the money.  That sounds fair.

They continue to list events on their website that they are collecting registration money for but don't have permits from the cities or venues where they are advertised.  In addition to that, there is a venue listed for which they didn't pay for the event to be held there this year and didn't pay these same people for LAST YEAR's event yet either!

They are not playing these games with peoples money because the economy is bad or they have too much competition..they are doing this because they are CROOKS and THIEVES!!

Do yourself a huge favor and avoid this RUN OR DYE and anything put on by VIRAL EVENTS LLC at all costs!!  It's not worth the risk.
