Mr D launched a personal attack against Erin for his own personal reasons, and none of them good. I have know Erin for many years and taken dance lessons from her on many ocasions.She does not deserve this type of slander.

THere are some other dancers that used to go to the Vista Ballroom all the time. In fact you could hardly go to any function when they were not there, when they were present, they tried to control the entire affair.  They wanted to take over everything, infact they took over the 701 Whaley dance events, they dominated the social media with derision and lies and they ended up opening up there own dance studio and at the same time they tried to undermine Erin's studio and steal the clients. In fact they were never friendly with me until they opened their studio, then they suddenly wanted me to attend and be a friend on teh social media, so transparent.

I think it is sad and desperate to have to demean and undermine someone else because you want to prove to yourself that you are great. They are great dancers to be sure,, but they are small, trite and despicable people.

I wis Erin the best of luck and I hope that the other people get what they have earned.

My girlfriend and I have both studied with Erin, taking trips from Charleston and New York City to participate in her workshops in Columbia.  She has been extremely professional and even generous with her time and help, and I find Mr. D's claims preposterous.  Is he jealous because she did not succumb to his advances (even knowing she is happily married with a beautiful son)?  Is he a competitor trying to damage her reputation?  I have been in dance education for years, and have directed a doctoral program in dance education at New York University.  I have never seen any  of the behavior attributed by Mr D to her (and attributed in a vulgar way that surely reflects on his character more than it does on hers) and I am very familiar with dance school attitudes, having taught at many myself in the past.  I find it stunning that Ripoff Report would allow such a review to be published anonymously, given the possibilities.  If I were her, I would file a case for libel.

I worked with Erin a few years ago and found her to be very pleasant.  She was an excellent instructor in both Tango and Ballet.  Contrary to what the complaint registered says, I felt that she was very interested in my progress as a dancer despite my inability to  afford private lessons.  I always felt that I was treated fairly and that lessons were a great bargain and that this report is unjustly pejorative.  Hard to take reports full of so many spelling and grammar errors seriously anyway!

So as it stands, everyone is upset for Mr D's original post.  Which may i remind all of you that this would have never happen if bad business was relsoved and the professionals conducted themselves as professionals should.  Now, after some thought I will like to retract some statements that may have seemed derogatory.. my intentions to be treated fairly and to settle unresolved business.  Issues were brought to Erin before only to be snubbed off.  If no one will listen, perhaps now I have your attention.  I will be glad to answer any questions anyone may have about the ordeal concerning this matter and related personel.  Communication via this thread only.  Looking forward.
