Purchased a 42" VIVITEK Micro Display Projection TV from Home Shopping Network. The TV work for about a year and then started to make humming sound, then began to go on and off. Finally the TV stopped. Contacted company, they provided no support, or live person to talk to. (If one calls the 877-603-3582 the recorded voice will tell you that they wash their hands on these products.)
Contacted parts supplier, who told me that the bulb has gone out. Purchased new bulb for $144. plus tax, install bulb, TV worked for several months and then started its fault process all over again. And then went out again. Upon research determined that many people were having the same problem both with the 42 inch and the 52 inch. This was $1500 down the drain. The company knew they sold a faulty product and just washed their hands of it.
Buyers of any of this companies products should be aware that VIVITEK does NOT have the highest intergity with regards to its products.
