I'm sorry to hear that you are going through this situation. However I belive that if you look around the fee structure at Wachovia is basically the same as any other bank. The exact amount per item may be different but the way the fees are accessed are basically the same. The only time the fee increases is on the second overdraft/return in a 12 month period. It most states the first time in a 12 month period you have something paid to a negative balance or returned unpaid the fee is $22 per item. On the second time and thereafter the fee is $35 per item. If you see fee amounts such as $105 it means you had 3 fees that day. And yes, if you have an item or items that are returned unpaid then you will be accessed a Non-Sufficient Funds fee. Again as at any other bank. As far as the refund, we do take several things into consideration but if there's been no bank error the best you may get is a percentage of the full amount.
