It's shameless how Wells fargo customer service rep. make jokes off of their customers funds in their institution. I made several purchases in one day about 3 of the mon 7/02/13 I went to check my account and it had the suffient amout of funds to cover those purchases. Then I look one day later and saw that my account was over draft one item which that amount was more than the orignal phone order,ok I handle that with that company and accept the overdraft fee for that particular item.

I look at my account 6 days later found that my account was overdraft 8 times for the purchase, that my account showed that was covered and also deducted the amount from my avai. balance. The one thing Im confuse on is how can Wells Fargo make a choice on which item can go thru 6 days later. Rather hold funds 6 days later even if it was taken out of your my  balance. Some of those charges could have been covered in those days with the funds I had in my account then.

The craziest thing is that they hold $1.80 ,$ 20.00,$11.77 which was in the account and when i checked the account it showed paid on 7/01 ,but 4 days later it a $35 overdraft charge also made a purchases $17.60 & $20.00, 7/02 checked on 7/02 funds showing its been hold for that to be paid 7/11 check the account on 7/08 funds are hold from purchase on 7/02 $9.21 overdraft for $35 but paid the phone order which was $132.63. took the balance of 94.69 left the account -37.94 and didnt pay the small charges that the money would have covered ,but paid the $132.00 and at that time one the 132.00 was taken it showed the account was only over draft that amount and all the other amount was showing pending and the amount was already deducted from my avai. balance. So how in the world 6 days later show those same items overdraft.

Ok already dealing with 7 overdraft now I have to deal with the silly customer service reps. at the local branch didn't want to help me at all just printed out statement underline them and wouldnt explain why these charges where updated to this when I saw I only had one  overdraft charge 6 days ago . One rep by the name of Melissa Mcculla not sure of her last name is spelled correctly she was acting silly when we ask her to repeat it. Said to me  well This is how Wells Fargo do business when I ask her Why I my money was being overwhelmed with these charges, Spoke with another rep. who said she put in a request to reverse the charges, but because of speaking with previous reps. the request was denied due to those reps. ask her to put her manager on the phone. A Jessica got on the line and told me she is not doing any returns charges today, once she argue back in fourth with me about when I made them ,she got very upset when she could not answer certain questions. Its so sad that ppl money are in the fait of these awful ppl meaning customer service reps,They can change the rules based on how they feel about a customer. How can one rep put in changes to reverse charges, but because of the others rep got into an arument with the same customer ,reverse charges was denied.  I was told that from their own rep, run the recording its there.

The one thing Im confuse on is how can Wells Fargo make a choice on which item can go thru 6 days later

- The answer is simple...THEY do NOT choose which items go through.  Every item will go through in the normal course of business.  If you want to get technical the ones that make that determination is the merchant that is sending the debit as to when they decide to send it.

It comes down to the fact that there is ONE person to blame for your situation..and all you have to do is look in the mirror to find out who that person is.

You are relying on the on-line banking and not keeping your own written register.  Well on-line/phone/ATM banking was NEVER meant as a replacement for a written register..it is just one more tool in your toolbox to manage your account.  As for the debits getting posted.  They only post them as they get them from the merchant.  But because of various issues outside of control of the bank, it can take anywhere from 1-7 days before the bank receives your debit.  During that time your on-line balance will be inaccurate.  This is why you must write down every transaction as you make it.  This way you know what you have spent and what you have remaining.

Then of course this should go without saying but some people don't grab this basic concept...DON'T spend more than you show available.   Because if you follow this..even if they did not post the funds for 1 day or 1 year..it won't matter because your written register would show that you have already spent the money.

If you don't have a written register you can go into your local branch and I would bet that they would be more than willing to give you one.  They may even spend the time to explain to you how to use it.

They can change the rules based on how they feel about a customer. How can one rep put in changes to reverse charges, but because of the others rep got into an arument with the same customer ,reverse charges was denied.

- Well because it is not a "rule" on how they feel about a customer.  Reversing a charge is totally up to the Customer Service Rep.   If you are nice the rep may be more willing to do things for you..if you start to yell and get into an argument with them..well they probably won't do as much for you.

Oh and this is how every bank is...

Maybe if you learned to balance your checkbook, reconcile your bank statement and stop spending money you do not have this would not happen.  Not the bank's fault - it is YOUR fault.  Grow up and take responsibility for your actions and your money.
