WERNER ENTERPRISES TRUCKING.. The USUAL Werner RUN-AROUND about Workman's Comp Omaha Nebraska

My boyhood dream is crushed, literally. I was ALWAYS taught that you take a persons word as a man, but I've found that, especially with BIG companies, that is NOT the truth. To a large company, anyone is JUST a number. This realization has blown me out of the water.

I was a teacher for the biggest part of my life and when I retired, I decided to go to truck driving school. I was in my glory. The dream was shared one night, stopping a TA and phoning my wife and telling her I was living the life of my dream. I remember her laughing and saying how proud she was of me. It was the beginning of a new life for us. The problem was, I was very unaware of Werner practices.

After 2 weeks of training, my trainer was called into the Allentown PA terminal for a Safety meeting. After 7 hours of meeting with Safety, he lost his training privilages for 1 year and I had to find another. You wouldn't believe what I learned from this man, but to Werner, no problem...sit him down and abuse him. Well, for my trainers sake, I felt terrible and betrayed by the company I was about to enter into employment.

Well, let's cut to the chase..... after about the second week, I began to develope some discomfort in my left hip, thigh and knees. I didn't think too much of it with Alleve becoming my companion. I'm now with a GREAT trainer from Alabama (I won't mention his name... but I'd like to), he proceeded to guide me in the correct directions.

We went from Maine to Atlanta, to San Antonio, to El Paso, back to Ohio, then to Fontana, CA. By this time I had hit, while driving, every rush hour traffic in every MAJOR city enroute. The pain became more intense every single day. Then, while trying to traverse Cayune Pass out of Southern CA, we broke down, sat for 13 hours just off the Granny lane and a terminal just an hour or so south. I'm unable to sleep due to the worry of the situation and my hips.

The following day, we get towed back to Fontana, where we sit for 3 days waiting on a load. In the meantime, my hip pain esculates and I decide to return home, UNPAIND OF COURSE, to find out what the problem is at this point. Werner wants to BUS me home to Pennsylvania and a ride for 2 and one half days. My choice is to fly to return.

I return to find that, after xrays, my hips, both right and left, are totally gone. I had NO problems before I started driving and no pain whatsoever in that area of my body. I was totally fit to drive tractor/trailor for ANY company. Here comes the kicker!

The gentleman I'm dealing with IS A COMPANY SUCKFACE. I know that Werner is NOT willing to settle with a driver. They have requested ALL of my medical files from at least 3 years back (my doctor is livid by the request, but abliged) and sent them to Doug...(oops)! I will talk to him on Wednesday to see what his decision is going to be about this. I know what he's going to say, but LISTEN UP ALL YOU PEOPLE WRITING ABOUT WERNER. THERE IS STRENGTH IN NUMBERS.

IF ALL OF US BAND TOGETHER AND GO AFTER THESE SOB'S... WE WILL GET SOMEWHERE. I'm in contact with a VERY big Atty about this matter, and he is LICKING HIS CHOPS. I am NOT going to give up with Werner. You may think this is Talk... but I assure you, I'm going to get what I deserve and they WILL pay me EVERY WEEK FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE. I promise you that. I WILL NOT GIVE UP ON THIS.

The name is SMOKE. REMEMBER, THERE IS STRENGTH IN NUMBERS. It's time for Werner to learn this..... Dave Werner is the one guys!
