When I visited WalMart's electronics department I was looking at changing my cellular provider.  I saw the WalMart family Mobile service and asked the sales rep for more information.  They informed me that walMart uses the T-Mobile cellular network.  I purchased three phones for a total of about $660!  I first activated my phone and my son's since we live right here in Jacksonville.  When I went to activate the third phone I needed an 803 area code since it was for a family member in South Carolina.  When I called 611 for help they told me that I could not have different area codes.  All three phones had to have the same area code!!!  (The Second Misinformation)  So I had the first two phones changed to 803 to accommodate the needs of my family member then I gave her the phone when she came down to visit....  While she was here the phone worked fine, but the lie presented itself when she went back to South Carolina.   Calls would not go through and calls would drop every time.  She would usually get no signal bars or one would appear and drop.  I called WalMart family mobile and they said they would look into it...(Yeah right)..  Well I went to a T-Mobile office and they told me the truth.  The WalMart Family Mobile Map was not true.  WalMart only uses some of the cellular towers and they will not disclose which towers they use and there is only two towers within 10 miles of my family member in South Carolina.  I called WalMart Corporate Office and filed a complaint.  The representative said to call 611 and get the phone unlock code so I could find a provider in South Carolina that would service me.  (This is where the fun started)  I called 611 and ran through the details with the representative.  She submitted the Sim Unlock request and within a few days I had two codes.  The one for South Carolins I was unable to try but I tried the one for my phone.  (IT Failed!)  I called 611 back and informed them of the problem.  We went through the process again and It Failed!!  So She submitted the details again to the Sim Unlock Department.  The next day I got a reply.     (  "Thank you for taking the time to contact Wal-mart Family Mobile. We have received your SIM Unlock Request. Unfortunately, this subscriber is not eligible to receive the unlock code at this time. In order to be eligible, the subscriber must complete 40 days of active service. Please submit a new request 40 days after this subscriber was activated."  )   So I called 611 again and spoke with Ely 1414747 the most useless Manager I have ever delt with.  She would not contact or resubmit my request, nor could she explain why they would give me what appeared to be the code once, but then deny my request for a code the second time.  ALSO  she said my waiting period started from the date that my phone number was changed to 803 and not when I started the service.  So Now I have to wait and not be able to use my $600 worth of phones.  I had to continue getting dropped calls and I could not unlock my phone and go to a good network!  I will NEVER buy another WalMart service again!!!  They Lie by misinforming customers and their followup service is Poor!!!  One Last thing...  Half the time I called customer service, the service representative barely spoke English!!  I would ask "Do you understand what I am talking about?"  and they would reply..."I'm sorry could you please repeat the question?"   COME on WalMart!  Where is the service Quality?
