The above Walmart store stole $24.95 from us!
On March 16th 2004 my wife purchased a money order from the Walmart Store at 1334 Flammang Drive, Waterloo, Iowa for $24.95.
The company we had sent the money order to sent the money order back with a letter saying they no longer made the product and that they were returning our money order.
On March 26th 2004 at 4:30 pm we attempted to get our money back from the Walmart Store at 1334 Flammang Drive.
We were informed that Walmart policy does not allow for refunds on money orders! We were told to take it to a bank. We had already taken the returned money order to a bank. The bank had informed us that we would have to take it to Wal-mart. Wal-mart told us we would have to take it to a bank. Standard run-around.
We asked to speak to a manager, one was called but never showed up. We were treated very rudely! We are out $24.95 along with whatever we gave for the money order.
We had the letter from the company. The clerk at the service desk told us to shop Kmart from now on! She was very very rude and bigoted!
In our mind Wal-Mart stole our $24.95 and should lose more than that amount in business!!
By our experience Wal-Mart money orders are worthless. Wal-Mart does not stand behind them. It is fraud and theft.
