There could be a few reasons that your prescription was not the full quantity. They could have run out of the medication and had to have done a partial fill, until they recieved the rest, which sometimes you pay full co-pay or partial, depending on your insurance. But, if this was the case, they should have given you the remainder at no additional cost.

Another is if you previously asked for a lower amount, then that would set itself to that amount as a default. Example: say the doctor prescribed 30 pills and you said you only wanted 10 for this fill. Then the next refill would only be 10, unless you told the person that you wanted the full 30. The computer sets this as the new default unless told otherwise. I've seen this happen many times.

But, all in all, the problem should have been fixed and you should have been given the correct amount.

If your med script is for a controlled substance, it could be that particuliar pharmacist is an addict and could even be cutting the capsules with flour, mannonite or sugar and snorting or mixing and injecting the powder in the capsules...

Do the pharmacist and yourself a big favor and report his or her actions to the State Agency that licenses and regulates pharmacists in Texas! They do NOT tolerate this sort of thing and the pharmacist WILL be investigated! They pull licenses all of the time... junkies go to jail or maybe even to rehab.

The reason I say this will do the pharmacist a big favor if they are an addict, is because sometimes they have to lose their license and great lifestyle and everything that means something to them before they get the wake up call to clean up their act and straighten out their life!

Because if they keep on ,they might make a mistake on filling a script or cut the medication in the capsules too much and a patient might DIE and it can be traced back to them OR they could overdose themselves and die!

You can't let a situation like this go on indefinitely. A relative of mine was a nurse and was addicted to ampthetamine and was stealing meds and cutting the scrips and she passed away suddenly! It happens. Fortunately, she never made any mistakes and killed anyone but she could have!

REPORT THIS GUY!

Hello, I have read the complaints made against walgreen's pharmacies and could not help to comment on my own experience. I would like to make one suggestion to all the dismayed consumers out there. Please save your enrgies and make your compaints to the State pharmacy Boards and Licensing authorities. Your grief will be proffessionally addressed and the individual pharmacy will be appropriatly investigated in regards to the unproffessional conduct of the individuals in question. Do not waste your time conversing with the pseudo-proffesional representatives defending the rude and inappropriate behavior of their Walgreens pharmacy collegues.

I am not putting down the proffessionals who invest money and time to achieve their education towards a PhD in Pharmcology. There are indeed pharmacists for whom I have great respect. However, please note that the comments you make to patients filling their prescritions sometimes scar them for life and evoke a state of acute anxiety towards future pharmacy experience. Yes the pharmacist with a doctorate degree has great knowledge of the pharmacopia but it is not his place to pass judgemnts and pseudo-diagnoses based on the perscription profile a patient filling his script. I have met patients who had tears in their eyes because of their experiences with pharmacy staff when filling their perscrition for controlled substances.

Please note that it is your duty to contact the perscribing physician regarding any questions pertainig to a script. It is not your job to scare the patient at the counter with your opinion about any given pharmaceutical agent. That is very unprofessional and should be repoted to the pharmacy Boards. This behaviour is unaccaptable and interfers with patient compliance. Now I respect a degree of Doctorate in Pharmacology. But, if you as a pharmacisit want to play Medical Doctor, then please return to medical school and take the appropriate avenue towards the degree of a Medical Doctor. Until then, please realize that you are hurting honest and good citizens with your snappy comments at the counter. John Consumer.
