The managers at Walgreenswouldn't let my 12 year old and 10 year old get my perscription, and the only reasonI couldn't come in was because I broke my back, And I'm very ill. I can't walk, and can not speak clearly. Other wise, I would of gladly come in.

Search TipsI work in a Pharmacy and this is common practice. I don't know what your meds were, but if they were a pain med, they would not be given to anyone but yourself. Maybe you could call ahead of time and advise them you would be having an adult pick them up. You must of had an adult with you. I can't believe you would be driving a car with a broken back and certainly your 10 and 12yoa weren't driving. You have to understand why this would be common practice. Would you want a teenager to get a hold of there parents pain medicine? then the Pharmacy would be sued. i'm sure if you made prior arrangements, they would be happy to accomodate you. this is not a Rip off in any way shape or form

They did the right thing - you did not. Question - if you broke your back how are you able to use the computer?? Just curious.
While you didn't say what the prescriptions were for, since it was for your back we can probably figure that they were some sort of pain pill. So most likely they are a "Controlled" substance. If that is the case they will not give that prescription to anyone under the age of 18. You would have the sameissue at any other Pharmacy.
If you are having a problem getting your prescription contact your doctor to see if they can arrange an alternative method.
