Walmart Connect Ripoff Another complaint about not being able to cancel Internet
Hi God forgive me for saying this but I am a former employee of Wal-Mart.There I said it but believe me I show no loyalty to them they didnt care about there employees so why should they care about me now that I am just a regular person?My mom signed up for Walmart connect over 2 and a half years ago and a few months ago she got a 400 + phone bill.After freaking out and calling the phone company to see what the problem was she realized it was because she didnt have a local access number(not Walmarts fault she didnt know).My mom is 65 she has hardly ever touched a computer so she didnt realize this and she thought that she had unlimited area calling which she found out wasnt the case too but I came over and fixed the problem for her or I thought,anyway. Because I got her signed up with a local isp.That was no problem but when I tried to call and cancel Walmart it was a different story.First I could barely understand the lady then I politly told her I wanted to cancel and she acted like she didnt even here me so I said it again and she just kept talking finally I ended up giving in and just keeping it for the 2 free months she insisted on( I almost said offered but it wasnt offered it was more like bullied)She gave me a new toll free access number that I never once got to work it always came up busy so I quit trying and havent used it in over a month.She said if I didn't like it call back and cancel anytime so I did I called tonight and got the same woman who would not listen when I told her we HAVE an ISP?Why do we need 2?So She signs me up for another free month which we can not use becauseI uninstalled walmart from the computer already ,not that I would use it anyway.SO I hung up with her and called right back after having to hold on for another 30 miinutes I got the exact same woman so I asked for her supervisor.I seriously think she handed the phone to the guy next to her cause she clearly recognized my voice and had to ask my name before I could be transferred but her so called supervisor did No better except for the fact that he seemed to get angry when I told him that the lady acted like she couldnt hear me when I said I WANTED TO CANCEL but not angry at her, angry at me.So as you might have thought I still have walmart connect. Although I am very upset now I was extremly polite to both of them.Maybe that was the problem.I work at a call center myself so u can write in and say I am just bitching and whining if u want but the first thing they taught us is the customer is always right and u should never ignore there needs.So now I have to waste half a day tommorow trying to find somebody that will actually help us this time.Sorry for rambling on but How ridiculus is all this anyway?Does Walmart not make enough money that they have to bully us into getting our measly little bit of money every month.Oh but they did both say so politly that I should feel free to call in and cancel anytime.
