Check your receipt at Walmart. We recently purchased over $100 of Groceries, and later discovered the cashier had added a prepaid phone card for a service we do not use. Apparently she purchased the card for herself, or to resell. We were able to finally get a refund, after a lot of discussion and managerial involvement, and denial. Walmart wanted to know the number on the phone card which we did not purchase, and did not have. Anyway - check your receipt for extra items.

Darned walmart!

AUTHOR: Bigdave - (U.S.A.)

Your complaint is almost Hillarious! Due to the simple fact that people in general are honest, the consumer at large is blind to misc. charges and items that are rung up by any ya-h*o. It matters not what retailer you are at, people are going to rip you off every where you go. Funny that you can even mention this as a ripoff, its simple and plain common sense.

If I walk into any retailer and fill up my cart with god-knows how many items. I cannot expect to keep track of them as they are being scanned. However, as an intelligent human being, I can put my cell phone away, stop playing with my hair - or digging through my purse- and pay attention to life for one moment. People who get caught by a dishonest cashier almost deserve it, they are the types of retards that cause 4 car pile ups on the free way because the cup of coffee or the nail polish was soooooo important.

Not being sexist by the way.

You got your money back, didn't you? That is better than some of us do...

AUTHOR: Thomas - (U.S.A.)

I won't mention names, but...

One afternoon the customer had a $60 cash advance added to the charge at Sam's, but the customer was distracted by his disabled wife at the time and did not spot this 'problem' until the bill arrived. So the customer calls Sam's Credit to have the cash advance feature disabled, but it just keeps returning and returning and returning and returning ...

Recently this customer gave an Ingles clerk a $20 bill but she entered it as a $10 bill. Next time the customer will ANNOUNCE what bill he is giving any clerk.

OK, these are minor losses compared to what some people here are hit with, but they still make you feel bad about your ability to handle life's simple transactions ........
