Washington Mutual Bank ,Chase Harassing phone calls to next door neighbor of person owing them money, they are calling constantly and do not believe the neighbor died about a year ago has no right to any of the deceased' information. Delray Beach, FL Florida

Washington Mutual Bank keeps calling a 91 yr blind man to try to collect funds owed by a next door neighbor who passed away about a year ago. They won't say how they got his number and will not stop calling him. As early as 8:10am and as late as 9pm.

Tell them to "A cease and desist (also called C & D) is an order or request to halt an activity, or else face legal action." Then they will never call again.

Washington Mutual Harassment

Called phone co to put on call block. Received 2 more calls 8:40pm 5/25 and 1:30pm today. Filed complaint with donotcall.gov Phone company said call 1-888-382-1222 national do not call registry, (supposed to stop all telemarketers from calling the number.) Takes 31 days to stop calls. They suggested filing a report with the above web site (donotcall.gov). Hopefully this will help.

5/25/09 Just received second call today,1st call 8:10am this morning, 2nd call received at 2:20pm, told "Paul" @wamu, he has the wrong # and name and again asked to be placed on do not call list. He said "okay". We'll see.
