After spending countless hours preparing a website to sell Flowers, adding hundreds of products with custom titles and descriptions, graphics etc, It was time to go live. There was one problem, I built the site within Weebly's Designer Platform and I needed to have the site moved to their regular hosting area.

First I needed to contact Weebly support to see if it was possible to move a site from the Designer platform to the Pro Platform. Within an 30 minutes or so I received this response saying this...

====================

Hi Anthony,

We can move the site "Enchanted Flowers" into the My Sites section of your account but you will need to sign up for Pro
service first. Once you have subscribed, please get back to us and we'll be happy to make the change.

Thanks for your support!
Jamie

====================

So I reply and say, I have upgraded to Pro!

They reply saying this...

====================

"Hi Anthony,

I apologize but I have made an error in this case. The good news is that it's not a big problem.

As it turns out, we are unable to transfer the Enchanted Flowers site into the personal area of your account. The reason for this is that it
wasn't originally created there. Instead, the option was to move the site into a brand new account and this is what has been done. The new account has been given two years of Pro service and we can link it directly to you so that you have full editing capabilities. All we need from you is an email address to assign to the new account. It just has to be one that isn't associated with another Weebly account already.

Once we get that from you, I can link up your accounts and you will be good to go.

Again, I apologize for my error and any inconvenience it may cause you.

Thanks for your support!
Jamie"

==========================

Keep in mind, coincidentally this apology came in about 10 minutes after my credit card was charged. What if I didn't want to change accounts? Which I don't. Jamie should have asked me if I was OK with this before he accepted my money, or should have offered a refund. This was mid-day 12/7/12, it is now late in the day 12/9/12. Why am I livid? Because before they had my money it took them 5 minutes to reply and now that they have my money it take them 2 days. This is an unacceptable way to do business online and that is why I am posting this and hoping to draw some attention to this. Not to mention, since they moved my site it's not even letting me edit. So now I am feeling completely ripped off being that I am out $75 and my website that I would have made $1000 on is gone.

I'm not done with Weebly.

I Have a Solution To This Problem

AUTHOR: Danny J - (USA)

Weebly did the same thing to me and I got smart, I used the google cache function type the following in the google search:

"cache:your_old_weebly_site.weebly.com"

Your old site will come up in google cache and just view the page source and save the page to your HD, you can use the html later for placing it on another site. I will no longer use these free websites for they just delete your hard work and don't even provide you with a "reach around" email as an explanation if ya know what I mean.

I was selling Amazon products and got smart and put up my own site called (((link redacted)))
