I traded in my SUV one week before due date on loan. Since the pay off from the new bank did not get to them in time, and they knew it was traded in, they started calling me daily saying they're going to repossess the new 2012 car I bought and they didn't finance it, they are going to repossess the old car from the dealer refuse them title and they come up with new charges to tack on  A look on the web shows this pattern of abuse to be very common. They also started talking to 3rd party individuals about this, calling me deadbeat, again common tactic check the net under complaints. Imagine a bank saying they are going to steal a new car that they have no lien on and say it repeatedly along with the other mentioned items and more. They refuse to answer there phones. It is always the same person, Maria. I recommend anyone check the net under Wells Fargo Dealer Fiance+Complaint. they refuse to tell you which office they are working out of, they call you names and are extremely rude. Since they know it was traded in before the due date, what is there problem and what's up with threatening to steel a new car which isn't there's?

Easy. They confirmed two different amounts as presented to 2nd party. They are now obligated to stand by the first amount they have no car yet they placed on my credit report, late, 30 days over due. I guess they cannot add. Bad thing for a finance company. They also added repossessed which by this state law, they don't have possession of. they also have to send a notarized letter of intent to posses, (state law), Where is it?   They agreed to contract therefore they are in breach not with me but with the dealer. Still grand theft auto? Come on, are they the mafia, wait, they were busted for money laundering by drug lords. There excuse when they paid the fine is, "We weren't diligent enough." Says it all. Marias thing is (We have a contract..." Research it out, a very standard line.  When pressed about a specific paragraph and section contained there in, click...

is that you signed a contract for payments due on specific dates and you didn't live up to the contract.

However, I don't see any possible way that they could "reposses/steel" the new car. As you mentioned they have no fiduciary claim to it. But you do owe the payments for the balance even though you traded it in. Where's your ROR on the company accepting the car but not making the payoff?

I would like to alter prior statement. To me it was implied they were going to steal my new car
