My Payment was due on a Sunday a couple of months ago and by Monday evening they were calling me and leaving harrassing messages, they were calling late at night, when I answere I was treated like Im some sort of liar regarding my payment. When I told them there was a 10 day grace period I was laughed at and told theres no such thing and that I will still have negative remarks added to my credit report regardless. My payment has never been late, occasionally within the 10 day grace period that they claim doesnt exist and they call within 1 day of the due date, talk about unsettling feelings. They are not nice, kind people. I also had problems with the insurance issue as well, like so many who have blogged about this I too had negative dealings in this aspect, when I called them and explained that my vehicle was defintely covered they basically told me that was tough cookies that they haed no record and that they tacked on 1200.00 to my loan, when I got upset anf told them to do thier job and get the info (that was thier responsibility) The rude girl hung up on me!!! When I called back the next person said they had what they needed....NO CONSISTENCY, NO COMPETENCY!!!!! THE WELLS FARGO BANK IS NO BETTER. HORRIBLE, RUDE EMPLOYEEs THERE TOO. THIS ENTIRE WELLS FARGO CORP IS ABOUT NICKEL AND DIMING FOR EVERYTHING THEY CAN...NOT THE LEAST BIT CONCERENED WITH PROVIDING QUALITY SERVICE THAT SAYS "I CARE " NO COURTESY OR RESPECT, THEY TREAT YOU LIKE SCUM OF THE EARTH IF YOU MAKE ANY REQUEST OUTSIDE OF THIER COOKIE-CUTTER POLICIES. THEY MADE AN ERROR AND CAUSED ME TO INCUR 360 IN OVERDRAFT FEES AND THEN REFUSED TO ADMIT THIER ERROR AND REPAY THE MONEY, THEY INSISTED IT WAS MY ERROR, THEY WAY THEY SET UP ACCOUNT INFO IS NOT UP TO THE MINUTE THEREFORE MAKING IT VERY EASY TO MAKE ACCURATE ACCOUNT TABS. TO MAKE MATTERES WORSE, WHNE I CALLED THEM TO REMOVE THE FEES THEY NOT ONLY LAUGHE DANDDECLINES MY REQUEST BUT THEY CHRGED ME AN ADDITIONAL FEE TO TALK TO A LIVE PERSON. THEY CHARGE A FEE FOR ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING. THIS CORPORATION SHOULD BE CHARGED WITH CRIMES AS THEY RIP OFF THIER CONSUMERS BLINDLY. I DESPISE THEM, THEY MAKE ME CRAZY!!!! I'VE SWITCHED TO CHASE BANK AND THEY ARE FANTASTIC. IF YOU ARE A WF CUSTOMER I SUGGEST GETTING OUT NOW!!!

Okay jill,

you said that your payment was due on Sunday, (which by the way is not a business day) and that by Monday they were already calling you and leaving messages?

They wouldn't be able to call you until at the very earliest, Tuesday morning. They would have to wait for system updates at midnight on Monday night to see what payments have posted.

Yes, there is a 10 day period that the lender has to wait before they can charge you a late charge, officially they don't refer to it as a grace period though.

And Jill, you said they threatened to demerit your credit report. NO LENDER IN THE UNIVERSE can mark your credit badly for being 1 day late.

It is true that even if you are one day late on a loan payment, you are officially in default, but that can't be marked on your credit. You have to be AT LEAST 30 days late on a credit tradeline before it shows on your credit report. There is no delinquency category in Experian, Trans Union, or Equifax for a payment that is ONE DAY LATE.

So there's gotta be more here, please I'm trying to understand as best I can. Is it Wells Fargo Bank, or Wells Fargo FINANCIAL where you have your loan?

The reason I asked is because there is a difference in the way the two conduct business. One will give you a prime loan, the other a SUBprime loan.

What is Chase doing that Wells Fargo isn't? I would understand if you said you moved to a SMALLER bank, or credit union and didnt have any problems. But you left Wells, and moved to another BIG bank like Chase, and you don't have ANY problems? not one?

Are you sure?
