Sexual assault claim

Second, Werner cannot say "sorry," as that would be an admission of legal responsibility. If they aided and abetted the crime by destroying or hiding evidence, THAT is a crime. However, under current laws, Werner cannot discuss the case with you without facing charges of violating the trainer's rights as well as any harm they may be libel for against you. The best defense is silence, and Werner knows it.
Finally, get counseling. Sexual assault is traumatic, and it will come back to bite you if you don't talk to someone about it.
Having worked for Werner/DMI, I know they take a dim view on sexual predators. Once, they used other drivers to forcibly stop a predator driver who abducted a child using Qualcomm communications and tracking to coordinate the effort, which was successful. The only unfortunate part was the cops showed up before the drivers could get their hands on him. As such, I do not think Werner is hiding anything as much as they are circling the wagons to protect the company. Unfortunately, having been accused of sexual misconduct by a female trainee (I too am female), I can attest to the fact that your case is harmed by the hundreds of bogus claims made every year just at Werner alone. This in turn makes the company the perfect hiding place for actual predators, and a nightmare for actual victims.
Hang in there, and let us know what happens.
