Brian, Werner THE ONLY COMPANY THAT TREATS THEIR DRIVERS/STUDENTS LIKE CATTLE MMMOOO!!! Saint Augustine Florida

I was a driver back in the 80,s and boy was it a great adventure. To make a long story short, got married had a baby and decided to change jobs and help the wife raise our children. Well the kids are grown and I returned to the job that I once loved. Went back to school @ Road Masters in Jacksonville Fl. and had a great time. A rep from Werner came in and told this story about life at Werner. He hooked 9 of us and we were on our way. Me being the oldest out of the 9 strongly pushed the other 8 to follow me to the land of money.

WOW was I ever wrong. We were out on trucks in 4 days and was used as cheap lumpers. Most of the students left by the 2nd week but 2 of us stayed. I got clsoe to my 6 weeks and 275 hours and noticed that our runs were fewer and fewer. I would call my SDM (student driver manager) aka the perfect salesman and ask whats going on with Werner. The same old story, your not trying hard enough, you have to be a team player etc. At Werner the word team is always brought up when asking questions but why do they all use the word I,I,I so much.

My pay checks every week were wrong and I was in a battle with payroll to get my money. The following week it was corected but now this week is wrong. What happened to the word PRIDE?

If only I would of did my home work on Werner and found out who they really are, cattle farmers. We were numbered, then sent out to graze. I hope this will help any young students ready to go out into the big truck driving world.

Do your home work. Ask our great truck drivers questions, they will tell you the truth. I just finished my training with US Express and life is perfect now.
