Werner Enterprises I was blackballed! Internet

I was a loyal Werner driver who somehow made it through the training process despite me having to request new trainers, one sexually harrassed me.

After training a few things happened that were not my fault and when I had to rely on their roadbreakdown dept., They did not help.

I was driving to a customer in March 2011 and was in the right lane on a roadway and cars were in the left lane and a semi drove right up the centerline.That sent a small car into the concrete median. I stopped to be a witness. The state trooper just took my license info and sent me on my way.

Well two weeks later when I was in Canada, I recieved word that I was being charged with causing the crash!I was shocked!

I was having trouble for a month with the trucks a.p.u (generator) and had been trying to get routed to a company terminal for repairs.

I finally got the chance to go in for repair and the guard at the gate said there was a safety hold on me and that I could not leave until I saw the safety dept.

I had to wait until the next morning but went to see safety and was asked to give my account of the crash I had witnessed. So I did. 

Then I was told to give my report of other incidents that happened for example a freak accident once when the backdoor fell off a trailer. I gave them my signed account. 

Then they fired me for too many incidences, none of which were my fault!

When I applied for unemployment compensation they penalized me 12 weeks of benefits and $23oo
because of what Werner had reported to them.Luckily I had some money saved.

I didn't appeal the decision because I was relying on Werner to change their decision when I disputed it with them. I didn't want them angry at me.

They put those incidences on my dac report and I disputed them, they removed them except for one. But it was not my fault. But at least they had removed the others. 


When I went to get another job, trucking companies said they could not hire me due to what Werner  was putting on the job verification report. They were listing the incidents that they had taken off the dac report.

Two of the incidences they are listing were when I was sent to pick up a trailer and the trailer was damaged and I reported it. 

They have it listed as non preventable but just yesterday I was talking to a trucking company and I was told that with just those two things on the form that they can't hire me.

The ticket I got for being a witness didn't even go on my driving record, after I fought it but it was still pending when Werner let me go so I am forced to tell companies about it because its on the job verification report. And it is not helping in my jobsearch.

I am single and unable to work in this industry that I love. There are no jobs in my home area and I can't afford to leave the area. I am going to become a homeless person I guess. I don't have children so I cannot get help from the state.

My goal with reporting this is to get Werner to change their job verification form because I should be able to get a job with my driving record and dac report. But I would like the one thing they left on the dac report removed because it was not my fault.

The things they have listed on the job verification form were not my fault and I was never questioned about any of them as they happened so they should not be against me now.

Werner does say that I am eligable for rehire upon review and I have reapplied to them to see if they will hire me back but they say not at this time.
