Corporate Advocacy Program™
I received in July a copy of the National Homeworkers Association's "Home Business Directory", with 111 home work opportunities. Wes-State Mortgage is the parent company for the NHA. I was interested in marketing these catalogs to the public, since NHA claimed that "they have weeded out all the frauds, and only publish true genuine oportunities for home assembly work." They listed 12 companies that had at least one complaint of scams from consumers, as sent to Rip Off Reports. These include Excel Communications, Specialty Merchandising Corporation, Creative Amusement Service, and Cottage Industries, which had several entries each.
I have long passed the 90-day trial period, so my $45 for the information will not be refunded. I finally discovered your website last week, so I decided to see how accurate Wes-State/NHA's claims of dilligent research were. I was a little disturbed that they included Excel, because i was a Rep and phone customer for over a year. Excel was a definite rip-off, a company which only makes the top honchos rich, and which it took several months and a credit agency to finally get them to stop sending me phone bills, long after I had dropped their overpriced phone service.
Also, Wes-State makes a lot of bold claims for the profits from selling these catalogs, as much as $56,000 per month! they are noted for their "no money down" real estate, money brokering, and discount mortgage programs. They are a member of the Eugene Chamber of Commerce, and on Dub and Bradstreet. My main concern is with a catalog that claims to be thoroughly researched, with companies that NHA says are credible firms that they have had good relations with over their 15 years in the business.
I urge Rip Off Reports to check into Wes-State and the NHA, to see how many complaints about these programs have surfaced over the years. I have definitely decided not to market this less than accurate catalog, because I don't want to deceive anyone into any scam "businesses" that will only make them poorer. Thank you for your excellent service, it is much needed!

Not pulling anything, straight from the BBB

Well, I'd do a copy/paste from the BBB, but this form won't let me do it, or it's clunky and the instructions on the bottom don't work right.
Suffice to say, the BBB gave Wes State Mortgage and "F" rating. I'd cut/paste the BBB link, but for whatever reason this form won't let you copy/paste.
How primitive. Just check out Wes State Mortgage, Oregonon the BBB and don't take my word for it.

Don't believe them and don't get ripped off.
Something really should be done about these crooks that take advatage of people when all they want is to make a buck buy actually working for it, not by scamming unaware victims.
Below is directly from the BBB. Please read on unless you like to give your hard earned money away.
Every day, ads for work-at-home jobs appear in newspapers across the country as well as in national magazines, on the Internet, and on signs posted along the roadside. Some of the offers include stuffing envelopes, assembling products, reading books, reviewing movies, medical billing, or selling advertising on the Internet.
Work-at-home companies often target the most vulnerable, those who can least afford to lose the money. The Better Business Bureau suggests using extreme caution when responding to any such offer. While ads claim high earnings and short hours with little or no experience, BBB files indicate no evidence of anyone making the promised money. Rarely, if ever, are these ads an offer of legitimate employment. Generally, these "jobs" require up-front fees for information or supplies, and only the people who run the ads make any money.
In response to growing concerns about an industry that regularly tops the list of types of businesses generating the most inquiries to Better Business Bureaus, the Bureaus in cooperation with the United States Postal Inspection Service, conducted "Operation Job Fraud." Bureaus shopped and investigated more than 100 work-at-home companies. The results of the investigation continues to support evidence that little or no money is made. In fact, more money is paid up-front than will be made doing the advertised work. Work-at-home deals are "too good to be true."
Operation Job Fraud's mission was three-fold: to alert the public to work-at-home schemes, expose these practices and operators that deceive and rob the public, and help law enforcement in criminal prosecutions. Information gathered was shared with the Postal Inspectors. The public should be aware that they risk investigation and possible prosecution by postal or other law enforcement agencies if they become involved in one of these schemes.

Having ordered hundreds of alleged business opportunities and get rich quick schemes, I ordered the Loan Broker program from Wes-State Mortgage and found it to be everything they said it was. It to date is the only true and honest program I have found. Thanks to Wes-State, I now have a successful business of my own brokering loans. You shouldn't blame Wes-State because you did not return your items within the guaranteed time. If you weren't happy with what you received from them, I know they would have returned your money. I highly recommend Wes-State as an honest and reliable company.

Returned product, got full refund.

After receiving the program, and looking through the contents, I decided that since the business plan was already in use by hundreds of people in the Los Angeles area, that the business wasn't for me.
I called their customer support number, and instantly got a real-life person on the phone who gave me specific instructions and an address for returning the package.
I returned the package USPS Parcel Post (I put it in a box instead of back in the envelope), and insured it for its $195 value. A few days later, my credit card showed a full $195 refund.
Although the product was not my cup of tea, Wes-State's staff was very helpful in directing my return effort, and was prompt in refunding my money. In those respects, I have found that they are a class-act, and if I find opportunities with them that sound more appropriate for my situation, I will likely do business with them again.
I say go ahead and give them a chance.
