West Asset Management Used auto-dialer to call cell Tinley Park, Illinois

Recieved a call from these people this afternoon via auto-dialer to my cellphone. Their caller ID is a ghost number (obtained from the internet) to make it appear that they are a LOCAL entity.

Do not let your curiosity about the call kill your proverbial cat. These bottom-feeders are zombie-debt merchants who try to collect on decades-old accounts, most often well past the SOL. They will use every means necessary to get you to validate the account (and restart the debt clock) after they have successfully hooked you with the "third party disclosure" routine: having you give personally-identifiable information to "verfiy information" on record....

As someone who has worked in consumer, commercial, retail and corporate debt recovery for literally years, my advice to you folks is: Never, ever speak to a CA over the phone.  Demand that they send everything in writing. And hang up!
