West Bay Acquisitions They noted to National Recovery that I owe $70.00 to them - West Bay Acquisitions. Cranston, Rhode Island

I have been trying to obtain a car loan with a Credit Union with low interest rates.  They notified the Dealer that I have a debt owed to them in the amount of $70.00.  I have never heard of this company - Westbay Acquisitions nor have I ever received a bill, collection notice or anything from them.  I called National Recovery at (717) 540-5605 in regards to this debt to try to find out what it was for and gave them my Social Security Number and home address and they cannot find any negative data on myself.  I also had them check my husbands Social Secuirty Number and home address and they cannot find anything on him as well.  The National Recovery said they would need a Credit Reporting Number to find the information.  I then called the dealership stating I needed the Credit Reporting Number and they called the Credit Union and we were able to obtain two numbers and that was all the Credit Union would give the Dealership.  I then in turn, called the National Recovery line (number noted above) and I kept getting hung up on.  I will try again tomorrow as I would like to run these two numbers just to see what the tell me. 

 I believe this is a complete rip-off company trying to get money from unsuspecting individuals (a low enough amount that most people would pay just to get it off their record) when really it wasn't their debt to begin with, which is my case.  This is not my dept, they are a rip-off company trying to get money from unsuspecting individuals and damaging their credit report in the process.  This cannot go on and they need to be STOPPED!  I now have an ordeal to try to resolve with the Credit Union I am trying to obtain my loan through.  Not to mention anything else that may come along down the road due to this negative credit reporting which is completely inaccurate.  I WANT THEM STOPPED FOR ALL OF US INDIVIDUALS & MORE!
