The downside to the company is: short breaks, short lunches, 1 bathroom break, but the most of all - IM's - new to West at this location - constantly pop up during a phone cal with a customer, they read "show empathy, show compassion", get 100% QA's - that is while they listen to your phone calls. "Failure to comply with these rules will result in disciplinary action up to and including discharge". These appeared on a daily, consistent basis. After getting these POP UPS, how is one to handle the phone call, looking down the row to see if a supervisor or team lead is coming to walk you out the door?
Well, it happened to me. I was given a 90 day warning because I had failed a few phone calls - remember they are recorded and you never know which ones they will listen to. After signing my 90 day warning, I got hit again. Fired. I filed for unemployment, since I was not guilty of misconduct. My unemployment claim was screwed up according to the rep I spoke with in Carson City, NV, she fixed it. Now I was waiting for my claim to be approved. It was - $254 per week, a meager existance. Then, the night before I was supposed to get my direct deposit on my unemployment card, I checked the U website - it gave a code of QD - which means disqualied from unemployment. How is that possible. Yes, I did not provide the full scripting on a call after the 90 day warning, but how can you when your job is constantly threatened with IM threats during calls, which cause you to go the to bathroom and get sick? I will be filing an appeal. Watch out for West!
