We purchased a 4 bedroom lock off in Orlando about 5 years ago. The worst mistake of our lives! They lied just about everything and what they didn't lie about they failed to disclose. We were told we could lock off our unit for 3 weeks of vacation. What they didn't tell is there were fees involved to do so. they said we could trade with other west gates, lol, yes u can trade into ski resorts in the summer and beaches for the winter.What a joke! What really upsets us is that non- owners can book a vacation all year long!
You pay over 30 thousand dollars plus annually maintenance fees of a thousand and that's not enough!! There are fees for everything. Fees to lock off, fees to exchange, there's even fees if you don't use your week and fail to bank for the following year. This year we tried to book a 1 bedroom studio but were told there were no studios or 2 bedrooms available that week. The rep offered me a one bedroom deluxe for an up charge of 40 a night, lol, I'm not only tired of additional fees but on their website there is not a 40 dollar difference there is only a 6 dollar difference. Where do they get this crap.So in order to get that week I took my two bedroom and downgraded to a one bed deluxe, finally no extra charge!
Have you seen there website and the pictures they show, we have yet to get a room that looks so elegant!
Well I guess were stuck nd will have to make the best of it.
