Westbury Ventures, BMS Group, State Investigations Harassing Phone Calls Seatle Washington

Several years ago, I got a payday loan online because I was really desperate for money. After paying back the loan and a significant amount of interest, the company was still drafting money from my checking account. I called the bank and put a stop payment on the drafts. A few days later, they withdrew the principal amount of the loan again as well as almost $100 in "fees." I called my bank and reported it as fraud. Fortunately the bank was able to refund the money back to my account. However, I had to close my account and open a new one, then call all of my utility companies and my apartment management company to have them start debiting my monthly payments from the new account. It was a really big hassle.

So, I think all of this is behind me now. I've done everything I'm supposed to do. Then one day about a year ago at work, I start receiving phone calls from a person claiming to be Scott Johnson or some such nonsense. He claims that because I have not paid my debt to his company, they are going to have me arrested while I'm at work. I told him that I would be more than happy to pay any debt that I actually owed if he would send me the information pertaining to the debt. He claimed that all he was authorized to do was contact me to make payment arrangements. When he started getting beligerant with me, I hung up on him. He called back 10 times in 15 minutes. I filed a police report on my way home that evening pertaining to the harrassing phone calls and didn't hear from him again.

Then about a week ago, I got a call from the manager at my former job. She was calling to let me know that a "Daniel White" was trying to get in contact with me from State Investigations office. He didn't say what state investigative office he alledgedly works for, only that it was imperative that I return his call. I went ahead and called the officer who was handling the harrassing phone calls last year to let him know about this interesting little update. I'll be calling Mr. White back in a day or two when my lawyer is back in town and can be present for the call. The number that he gave me to call him back at was (360) 637-4971. I'll post updates as I have more information about it.
