We have been told that the trailer that the boat sits on is TOO SMALL for our 25 ft boat and is NOT SAFE for transporting let alone launching. The Mfg of of Load-Rite/5 Starr Trailers was contacted and pictures of all our concerns of the trailer were sent to them and their response was that the trailer we have is for a max. 23 ft boat, the eye on the bow should be level with the winch-NOT ABOVE the winch as it stands with our boat, the overhang of the boat from the rear rollers on the trailer should be 6-8 inches from the transom and ours is at least 18 to 24" which puts too much stress on the hull and finally they stated that the axels are OVERLOADED!
Westchester Yacht says they want nothing more to do with this situation that I signed all the paperwork accepting the boat! Well yes I did sign the paperwork...wouldnt you have trusted a broker who deals with Mult-Million dollar yachts and way bigger boats than the one I have expecting him to know what he is talking about? Wouldnt you expect that since the manufacturer of this trailer is stating this trailer is the wrong size and poses a potential hazard to the trailer, boat and anybody or anything around it that WESTCHESTER YACHT SALES would want to go the extra mile to help rectify this situation? Yes, I thought they would and NO they DIDN'T!
Westchester Yacht says "Go get another trailer"...We say.."REPLACE the one you sold us"!
Westchester Yacht says "Its the CORRECT trailer"...Load-Rite the Mfg says " NO IT ISNT "
This is NOT a way to do business and we feel we have been RIPPED OFF!
