Western Union Western Union Sucks - Rip You Off and Treat You Like a Criminal Nationwide
I went online to send my gal in Thailand some cash via Western Union but of course my previous login was not working. I called the head office and spoke to one of their techs and he said "the web site is hit and miss" and that "sometimes it works and sometimes not".
It's 10 dollars to send the money via the internet and 22 at one of their locations so I wanted to send it via the internet. So after many tries with their stupid, ill designed web site I was able to create a new identity. So I put in my bank card number and the transaction was approved by my bank. I then get an email from Western Union to call for verification. So I call asking why are we doing this after you accepted my card. She says just a few questions. I then answer all the questions correctly and she then tells me my transfer is denied. I ask why and she doesn't know. She says I have to go to one of their agents to do the transaction.
So Western Union is holding my money for 3-5 days after not approving me what a bunch of aholes. Additionally, if you now go to one of their agents they charge you 22 dollars to send the money and make you go in a corner and phone some stupid 1-800 number where you listen to 10 minutes of recordings then are asked a bunch of personal questions just so I can give them cash. They are probably selling your name to a mailing list. THESE GUYS MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE A CRIMINAL.
I am sending PAYPAL and will not use Western Union again. I've never seen a company so greedy, rude and disrespectful to their customers as well as completely disorganized.
In fact I wouldn't be suprised if their vendors complain too many people are using the internet so they screw up the web site so they can make more money. These guys are a joke. A very bad joke!
