In Feb. 2006 my husband and I purchased a timeshare from Westgate Myrtle Beach Resort. We knew that the timeshare building had not been built that is why we got it for such a "good deal." We were told that the resort would be ready in 2007 and that we could stay in it next year. We purchased an every other year plan, and were told that we could bank our weeks if we did not use them. In 2007 we tried to get a place at the resort and it is completely full a year in advance, we could not get in for the 2007 so we did not get to use our week from 2007, and 2008 was booked up too. By the way I need to mention that the resort is not even finished being built yet. I have paid these people 3000 dollars with maint./taxes for something I can not even use. So I called today to see if I could pay off the rest of the amount and have some knocked off of the final price if I did so because of the what I had already paid and the resort not being built. And also see if we could possibly use the resort next July. I was told that yes there is a week available but I would have to pay 130.00 more to stay in it next year because I did not use it in 2007 on my odd year. Now we were told we could bank the weeks we did not use. So in whole....We were told we would have a timeshare that hasnt been built yet and shouldve been built in 2007, if we have to stay somewhere else we have to pay 130 to transfer to that hotel because there is no room in the place we purchased, and now there is an open week for next year 2009 but because I did not use my week in 2007 I will have to pay 130 to stay in the resort in which we are owners!!!!! I AM FURIOUS!! I want a lawyer now or some advice....please help if you can. I hope this made since I am really angry right now.
