Westwood College Gave me a worthless degree and left me in debt with student loans Upland, California

I am faced with the same thing as alot of the other reports I read regarding Westwood College. I attended from 2003 to 2007. I graduated and received my Bachelors Degree. I attempted to find a job after I graduated for a whole year.

I received emails with job leads from the career counselor at the college. Every single job that I applied to required 5 year experience in the field already! How do you get the experience if no one will hire you?

They make it sound like these companies love to hire people fresh out of college because the skills were just learned and would benefit the company.

I hit road block after roadblock until I finally gave up and had to start working somewhere so I took a job in housekeeping at Nordstrom in 2009 and I am still there. The problem with trying to get a graphic design job now after years later, is that all the programs that they use now are updated so I would have to take classes to learn the new programs.

My concern right now is getting out from under my student loan debt. I am having my wages garnished by Great Lakes who consolidated my federal loans with Sallie Mae and I had them deferred for one year then after the year was up, I was to start making the payments but I still couldn't afford to. So one day I got this letter stating that they are garnishing my wages. I barely make ends meet now and they take 15% before taxes every pay period.

If there is anything I can do at this point, I would like to know. If someone can help me I would really appreciate it. By the way, before I came across this ripoff report website, I sent an email to a lawyer who handles class action suits and they responded telling me that it was dismissed.
