I was a professor for Westwood College.  I quickly came to find that Westwood did not provide a real education.  This "so-called" college is a diploma mill.  Even one of the Deans from the Communications Department named Tamara Radley, has acquired all of her degrees from Diploma Mills.  Therefore she is just as, or even less educated than those who carry a high school diploma.  I also quickly found her to be extremely unreliable and incompetent to a fault.

The embarassment of being employeed there was just too much, so I did not stay, (once I found out what this "so-called" college was really all about).

This college needs to be closed down immediately.  Without question or further hesitation.

Nice Try Westwood

AUTHOR: Leroy - (U.S.A.)

Dear sir/madam.

The reputation of Westwood College is tainted and in my humble opinion, your post lacks merit. Being a "victim" of Westwood's deceitful tactics, I tend to favor the original poster and commend them on getting the word out, as painful to you as it may seem. I take affront in your responses;

"Westwood College is accredited by ACICS, recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. We take exception to this personal and baseless character attack on one of our well-established team members."

Westwood had applied for Regional Accreditation when I enrolled and I was guaranteed by Ben your salesman, not an enrollment counselor as I finally discovered, and Richard the Dean of IT that Westwood was committed on obtaining this prestigious "GOLD Standard" of educational merit. However, we all now know that Westwood had applied for RA only to garner additional students under the false premise of this accreditation and to increase Westwood's income by deceitfully making false promises.

I quote, "It is essential that a student should know the distinction between national and regional accrediting agencies to make an informed decision about his educational career. Whether to opt for a regional or national accreditation should largely depend on the students future educational career. It is important to know that while most nationally accredited institutions will accept transfer credits from regionally accredited institutions, the regionally accredited institutions may not accept transfer credits from nationally accredited institutions.

If the degree the student is pursuing is his final degree and he intends to complete education at the same school, accreditation is not consequential. But if a student is likely to change schools before completing the degree, or intends to pursue post graduation studies, or keen on gaining employment with companies that are concerned with accreditation issues, the student may then be well-advised to opt for a regionally accredited institution.

The statements and guarantees during my educational nightmare were based on the above knowledge. You lied, you stole and a thousand and more students are literally paying for it. As for me, my employer would have reimbursed me up to 45% of my education had you not voluntarily withdrew. Now I am stuck with over $80,000 dollars in student loans and with any luck, will have them payed off by the time I am 76.

I sir/madam, take exception that Westwood misrepresented themselves at the expense of hopeful students who's dreams of becoming successful were shattered on the stairway leading to your front door.

Again you state;

Like the majority of faculty at Westwood College, Ms. Radley holds an advanced degree from a
recognizable and accredited institution. She received her Masters degree from Capella University and her undergraduate degree from Regis University in Denver, CO. In her role as Assistant Dean, Ms. Radley works with both students and faculty in an advisory capacity and has been a member of the curriculum development committee since 2009.

Once again I must insist on clarifying your post. Capella University is not Regionally accredited. They are accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Regis University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Regis does not hold Regionally accreditation. In a word, they hold they same accreditation as Westwood college. Based on my experience and a thousand others, these degrees obtain by national accredited colleges are worthless in the real world. More than a few of my instructors did not hold Master degrees or in some cases, did not hold degrees in the classes they were instructing. Similar stories can be found here on this site and al over the web on any search engine. Type in Westwood College and you get this site, links to law suits, degree mills, etc..

Westwood is not unique in that they offer classes of a lower caliber and will put anyone they can into the seats taught by anyone who can read and is on the payroll.

If you want to improve the general view and image of Westwood, attain Regional accreditation as you promised thousands of students and help those of us who graduated as you promised.

Side note, since graduating, I have been told 3 times by your Job Assistance that I cannot be helped, never received any real assistance with my loans, have been told so many lies by Westwood staff and those companies that you hire that anything statement or comment coming from a Westwood College employee might as well be placed in the category of pure Fantasy.

If you doubt my sincerity, please review my other postings regarding how Westwood has treated me. You can find my contact information in there.
