Whirlpool Calypso / Kenmore Calypso Washer are terrible with many, many complaints.

Without going into a lot of details at this time, we have been fighting with Sears to get our machine (which was purchased in January 2005) repaired properly since January 2006. I have had the repairman out here four times to fix four broken water pumps, but he never fixes the problem which is that the machine continues to sound like a jet plane taking off. Last night, March 13, 2006, the machine started an electrical fire.

Since the owner of the store, where we purchased the machine, refuses to cooperate, we contacted the regional manager whom also refuses to help us. The machine needs to be replaced but Sears refuses to stand by the warranty which states on their website:

Replacement guarantee if we are unable to fix it due to unavailability of functional parts or technical knowledge.

Sears has never repaired it and are obviously unable to repair it, but refuse to honor their warranty on the machine which is good to January 2008.

SO THE MORAL OF THE STORE IS:

DON'T BUY FROM SEARS
