We were sold a defective refrigerator from Pacific Sales in Torrance, California.  The manager of the store was notified immediately upon delivery of a loud humming noise which seemed out of the ordinary and it was very annoying.  We were told that Whirlpool Corp ( the makers of Kitchenaide refrigerators) would fix it because it was under new warranty.  We wanted them to exchange the refrigerator but they refused. We went thru 6 months of calling whirlpool and they came out to our house 7 different times with new parts, replacement parts, etc and attempted to "repair" the brand new refrigerator. 

After 30 hours of working on this refrigerator with all these new parts and parts that were ordered again ( after not working and being defective themselves ) and sending repairmen who did not fix the problem but spent hours in our house working on the repair of this brand new refrigerator the company ( whirlpool ) would not exchange the defective refrigerator but only offered to "repair" it.  It has been a nightmare. 

It is a ripoff that a company does not stand by its product in the first place and in the second place makes their customer endure the most brutal repair attempts that never worked until the very last time when the repairman left at 12:00  at nite after 6 excruciating hours of repair attempts.  They would not replace the refrigerator ( even though after the day of delivery it was determined to be defective. We were without a working refrigerator for 10 straight days and lost $100 of food that spoiled during this time.  I am suing Whirlpool corp to replace this lemon with a new refrigerator and I will never buy from Pacific Sales again. They do not stand by their customers and never even responded to me after an email was sent to them explaining again or dilemma.
