when I called for warranty repair the contractor company came out evaluated the problem and sent the request for parts to whirlpool. well I received a call from Whirlpool saying it was not cost effective to repair my washing machine they would give me the "blue book"(my term) value. well if they base repairs on the value of the machine then they should not accept contracts after 6 years or so. The machine depreciates quickly and if the repair is more than the value of the machine than they do not approve repair. Then know they will not repair a 9 year old machine so why take my money for the warranty contract.
