Wholesale Markerter is not a true wholeseller. Their prices are very high. You only get to see their prices after you pay for your membership. There is also no phone number at all. If you need help you get to chat with a lady online named dalee... Also they use other suppliers (they call warehouses) to buy the stuff they sell to you. One of them is called PickSend also based in Utah. I had a 2 month terrible experience with them...

have had no problem with SMC personally

AUTHOR: Diana - (U.S.A.)

well I am new to this site but just wanted to say that I personally have had no problems with SMC. But my husband was smart to get his required business liscense and sale/resale liscense before doing anything with any wholesale company required by the state that you live in, in our case California.

So word of thumb, don't even start running or think about running a business whether at home or somewhere else unless you contact your city hall and see what is required to run a legal business so you don't get in trouble by your city/state. Then do your research on what wholesale companies you want to go through.

Like the comment somebody said here you can't really get a wholesale deal unless you have the resale/sale permit, which is true, and doesn't cost that much to get one nor to establish one. It's better to be safe then sorry. And go through your city hall not the INTERNET to get one, there are scams out there!

All the ones for Doba or stupid and lairs

AUTHOR: Jerry - (U.S.A.)

Everyone of you claiming doba is the best is full of crap!!!!! I have found Doba's Distributors and talked to them personally on the phone myself. And everyone is right you are getting ripped off. The prices doba claims wholesale are a slight increase of retail. If your here defending doba more than likely you work for them or in the deal with them. One of the two. So take you BS and take ride on that floater down the toliet with the rest of the crap

REAL EYE OPENER

AUTHOR: Joanna - (U.S.A.)

I was interested in trying the wholesale products business and recently saw the SMC commercial with Tom Bosely. I was persuaded to check into this opportunity. In my vain attempts to research the company, I came across this website and BOY has it been a REAL EYE OPENER. Marcus and Kent...WOW..you guys are fantastic.
I love it when the truth is exposed. Thanks for helping me to avoid a costly mistake.

Maybe I'll try something safe....like HANG GLIDING!!!!

About Sales Tax

AUTHOR: Troy - (U.S.A.)

Hi, Sorry if somewhere in this rather long debate the topic of sales tax has been corrected. I work in a retail/wholesale parts ditribution center and somewhere in the this article someone was saying it was illegal to sell to someone at wholesale prices if the buying person had no resale certification...

Not true, any retailer/wholesaler can sell a product for whartever price they want, even at a loss if they so choose, the catch is the sales tax, it has nothing to do with pricing... But one area i am NOT sure of is the issue of out-of-state internet sales... out of state residents normally do not pay sales tax online, because technically you dont have to pay sales tax to a state that u are not a resident of, you can actually file a refund form out from most states if u make a major purchase out of state to get ur sales tax money back... so that may be how these internet bussiness's get around the tax issue.

But trust me, if the buying person is a resident of the state he's buying from, the selling bussiness is required to get a resale certification... But being a "wholesaler" has nothing to do with pricing, anyone with a bussiness license could call them selves a "wholesaler"

So anyhow, sorry if that topic was already covered, i didnt see that it was and thought i could clear that up for you all :)

ecomreview aka usell corp aka mark busnelli

AUTHOR: Marcus - (U.S.A.)

Sammy-the-bull, i mean Mark Busnelli, i mean Charles, i mean ecomreview, i mean usellcorp:

How many times do you have to change your name before you expect people to start believing you? hehehe

More facts about Mark Busnelli (i mean, the GANGSTA):

1) Sammy "the Bull" = "Sammy the Bull" Gravano (born March 12, 1945) was underboss of the criminal Gambino family in the 1980s under John Gotti. Originally a "capo" for the Brooklyn sector of the Gambinos, he was contacted by John Gotti once the plan to murder Paul Castellano was contrived. Gravano would play a key role in Gotti's bid to murder Castellano and become the new Gambino boss. Weighing his options, and seeing there was "something in it for him", he teamed with Gotti to kill Castellano in 1985. This dramatic murder would elevate Gravano's position in the family to underboss under the new Don, John Gotti.

2) Gravano was convicted in October 2002 and is currently serving a 19-year sentence in Arizona.

HMMM.....so, Mark Busnelli...how is it you expect everyone to believe YOUR version of the story?

What is more LIKELY, RIPOFF readers?

a) Charles Livingston is also known as Mark Busnelli Sr, the defendant formerly named in a lawsuit for trademark infringement? That Mr. Busnelli (not being all too clever) let his pride and arrogance get to the best of him, leading to VERY OBVIOUS mistakes (including violations related to the terms of his lawsuit filed by SMC). That Mr. Busnelli is trying to generate more hype for his very mediocre, very subpar "storefront" websites at usellcorp.com. That he is trying to insult nearly every company associated within his industry (ie quasi drop ship distribution and cookie-cutter shopping cart storefront websites). That he has an agenda of hate and loathing toward SMC and Doba (see his postings at ecomreview.com for proof - unless he removes them shortly!) That Mr. Busnelli, having shown irrefutable evidence (see in previous posts) that he IS in fact, the man behind ecomreview...is IN fact, repeating the same attempt to mislead the public with yet another defense of ecomreview by pretending to portray himself as sammy-the-bull.

b) That sammy "the bull" gravano is in our presence, taking time away from the Gotti business and prison term he's serving to write up a nice, thoughtful defense of ecomreview.

HMMMMM...... that's a tough choice! :)

I'll bet you one thing, RIPOFF readers....if you see another person defending ecomreview in this thread, he'll be our buddy Mark Busnelli. My belief is that no soul in the world would buy the kind of websites he is building, at least without experiencing buyers remorse.

Hey, Mark...how many false identities do you HAVE, or have you stopped counting? hehehe

It's great to expose people like this and companies like usellcorp for being what they truly are: smoke and mirrors.

i wonder if even MARK is starting to believe his own lies?

Obviously, usellcorp must be bringing in huge loads of clients with those search engine ad keywords, and long-term customers to boot. If not, youd certainly have so much more time on your hands to make false statements on websites like RIPOFFREPORT! ;)

Thanks to RIPOFF for making a place to keep these kinds of shark companies honest!

Sammy the Bull aka Charles aka Busnelli aka Ecomreview aka usell corp

AUTHOR: Marcus - (U.S.A.)

Hehe pretty amazing, isn\'t it? no one here reporting about your company has to prove their credentials, MARK. In fact, i could care less about proving to the world who i am.

What matters are the FACTS:

1) If you want to see Mark Busnelli\'s photo (published online in 2001), visit this link:
http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/3859/marksrdeeann150x2009ym.jpg
This is Mark, pictured with his dutiful wife. If link is removed (by RIPOFF for policy reasons), just ask RIPOFF to have us post the URL again. It is hosted at imageshack.

2) If you want another piece of evidence linking the \"Charles\" poster defending ecomreview to the REAL NAME of Mark Busnelli Sr, check this out:

- Remember how much Mark hates SMC CORP because they sued him for trademark infringement? Well, \"Charles\" owns a site called recommended-home-business.com. On this site, he does everything he can to insult SMC. Meanwhile, you\'ll find many links pointing to usellcorp as a smart business alternative. Pretty SNEAKY, eh? Remember, Mark was sued for trademark infringement by SMC CORP. In fact, im tempted to send this entire ripoffreport to their attorneys (all of his activity as \"Charles Livingston would be violating clauses in the terms of the suit) hehe

Mark aka Sammy-the-Bull aka Charles Livingston all are one, misleading identity doing what he can to show the marketplace what an HONEST review site ecomreview is! ;)

It\'s pure irony that good ol\' Charles/Mark is insulting Dropship-Review.com as an alleged review site owned by DOBA, while HE owns ecomreview, which shamelessly promotes usellcorp!

HEHEHE funny funny. Remember folks: if it smells like the brown stuff, don\'t put your nose in it; trust your senses.

If i am an independent e-commerce \"review\" site and yet PAY for keyword advertising on places like Yahoo and Google, I must be expecting to generate revenue SOMEHOW, right?

So, Marky Mark...how are YOU generating your revenue from ecomreview? I think the world is entitled to a fair and open answer. Everyone already knows you own usellcorp. Don\'t worry, everyone gets it. Just suck it up, admit to your sneaky activity, and give the public a dose of something you\'re stingy with: FACTS.

Followup to ecomreview and usellcorp relationship

AUTHOR: Marcus - (U.S.A.)

Posted as reply (rather than new report, as per request by RIPOFF editors) to this message:

Ecomreview AKA Usellcorp, Premier Hosting, Data One Computer RIPOFF! - ECOMREVIEW SITE A FAKE !!!! Points to USELLCORP - DONT TRUST THESE FRAUDS! Menasha Wisconsin

YOU FOUND IT HERE, FOLKS! -- FULLY REVEALED proof of direct relationship between FAKE ECOMREVIEW.COM "review" site and usellcorp.com ( aka usellcorp ).

In search engines, these guys are found as ecomreview, ecomreview.com, usellcorp, sellwholesaleproducts, and sellcorp.

- FALSE ALIAS NAME of person creating fake hype for ecomreview at RIPOFFREPORT and "managing" ecomreview.com, an alleged "independent" website that reviews ecommerce and dropship companies = CHARLES LIVINGSTON

- REAL NAME of actual person posting at RIPOFFREPORT and OWNING/MANAGING ecomreview = Mark V. Busnelli Sr.

Let's find out a little ABOUT our friend Mark, shall we?
THE FACTS:

1) Lawsuit filed AGAINST Mark Busnelli Sr(aka SELLCORP at that time) by SMC CORPORATION (you know, the infomercial company that has Tom Bosley as the spokesperson?) Amount requested = $5 million dollars. Why was he sued? He was making money by using a TRADEMARKED name similar to SMC (aka Specialty Merchandise Corporation). Pretty classy, eh?

2) Has a son named Mark Busnelli Jr. (also involved in the family TECH business)

3) Has had a few other family members in the business as well (ie Joshua, Savannah, Dee Ann, etc).

4) Mark has been quite vocal on numerous sites he owns about how much he despises SMC CORPORATION. hehehe If you got sued for doing something wrong, i bet you'd be bitter too! ;)

++++++++++++

Want to know more about USELLCORP.COM?

1) Also known as ANewVision.net, ANVIS, SELLCORP, PHIZ, Premier Hosting, EcomReview (see proof of this relationship by reading below), Data One Computer Services. Enough to give ya a HEADACHE, huh??? Makes you wonder what they're up to!!! Interestingly enough, as Kent the Basanite points out (in other RipoffReport postings), all of these companies seem to originate in the same small region of Wisconsin.

2) UsellCorp sells e-commerce websites populated by merchandise that is easily purchased from TRUE wholesale suppliers (ie Wynit, Moteng, Worldwide Brands (as an info source), etc)

3) Take a look at the QUALITY of those websites developed by usellcorp.com and ask yourself, DO I FEEL LUCKY? Remember: you get what you pay for!!! ;)

4) Usellcorp and Ecomreview SHAMELESSLY promote one another for keywords virtually right next to one another at places like Google, Yahoo, etc. Try using keywords like "dropship" or "doba".

MILLION DOLLAR QUESTIONS

#1 WHY does an INDEPENDENT review site such as ECOMREVIEW try to generate ANY affiliate income from those sites it is reviewing (ie usellcorp.com, sellwholesaleproduct.com (which was designed by our buddy, Mark Busnelli Jr (keeping in his dad's footsteps)?

#2 WHY would ecomreview show the following WHOIS domain owner information:
Registrant -- Charles Livingston
RHB Corp
PO Box 731
Charleston, KN
.......MEANWHILE........
SHOPAT1STOP.COM ALSO shows the SAME WHOIS information????

HMMMM! A MYSTEREEE. YAY!

If Shopat1stop.com and ecomreview.com naturally show the same information for domain owners, one would believe they are the same individual, right?

OK THEN.....who is SHOPAT1STOP.COM???

IP address for Shopat1stop.com = 69.95.142.184
This SHARED IP address is also linked to:
1 ARTFOREVERYONE.COM.
2 BRANDARCH-MARKETING.COM.
3 ENCRYPTDESIGNS.COM.
4 MEDIOCREATBEST.COM.
5 MIRANDARANSOME.COM.
6 MYQDB.COM.
7 PLANYOURFINANCIALSUCCESS.COM.
8 SELLNAMEBRANDPRODUCTS.COM.
9 SELLWHOLESALEJEWELRY.COM.
10 SHELCOMPUTERS.COM.
11 SHOPAT1STOP.COM.
12 STANCOCOINCLUB.COM.
13 SWBF.BIZ.
14 USELLCORP.COM.

YAY! Look! We found a winner....number 14, USELLCORP.COM.

Isn't that cool, gang? Don't you just LOVE it when a company pretends to have an independent review site, only to be nakedly stripped to its ugly truth as self-promoting WannaBees (btw, that misspelled word is THEIR trademark and i'm using it...boy oh boy!)

Put THAT in your pipe and smoke it, mister Mark Busnelli Sr. President, CEO and Founder of ecomreview! If needed, follow up with big, fat slice of humble pie.

You'll never fool anyone again, usell corp!

P.S. ive taken screenshots of all relevant website pages pertaining to proof of this relationship. everyone knows they will start distorting the facts this into something else asap (ie changing IPs, domain registrants, etc) ;)

Waste of Time

AUTHOR: Charles - (Saint Kitts and Nevis)

No more wasting my time

Abbooksonline.com is a non profit online Mormon Bookstore and all the profits are sent to the Mormon Church.
The address is 1313 Midway Rd. Menasha, WI

The same address and the same fax number as
UsellCorp.com and Sellwholsaleproducts.com and are owned by a very prominent Mormon leader. - They also have a kids club for the children and missionaries
to use while they are in town.

I found this information quick and easy, and I don't know why you could not before you start bashing your own people

And Kent, you are Mormon, and you are crucifying your own people, that are way too funny.

I found 7 different affiliates on ecomreview so your statement of a tie between them is pointless

I found your so-called site, if you want to call it that. I did take notice you DO NOT LIST ANY OF YOUR INFO IN IT. No Contact, Address, Phone Number - NOTHING

BUT your IP address is 67.172.228.109 and you use comcast in salt lake

You claim to be a devout Mormon and you write this kind of trash, I wonder what your church would say about this.

You are very sad sad example of a person or a Mormon

Ok charles Have it your way
I gave you a chance to drop it and move on.
Seeing how you seem to think you're an authority on internet investigating. with me not being able to investigate saran wrap if it were wrapped around my face try this out for size.
Ecomreview is licenced and owned by a company by the name of REAL EZ LLC
This company is located in Portage, Wisconsin not in Saint Kitts and Nevis now what were you saying about costa rica and being off shore to the united states last time I checked, Wisconsin was part of the united states. Ok charles sorry I mean Douglas lets get on with the rest of the web you have weaved.

Name: Kammerr, Douglas
Title: OWNER
Company Name: REAL EZ LLC
Address: 314 DE WITT ST
PORTAGE, Wisconsin 53901-2114
Phone: (608) 742-3234

Registrant:
Real EZ Corporation ECOMREVIEW
Real EZ LLC
Real EZ Corp
PO Box 731

But this is not the end of the tale,
Remember the two sites your web promotes as being top the only ones with direct links from ecomreview

SellWholesaleProducts
1313 Midway Rd
Menasha, Wisconsin 54952

USellCorp
1313 Midway Road
Menasha, Wisconsin 54952

Hey Douglas these are in Wisconsin also just a coincidence Im sure!
So let me recap ecomreviw witch is in Saint Kitts and Nevis and hosted by an offshore server in costa rica. Is actually located in portage Wisconsin witch is part of the united states where there are no hosting companies? not two far from the two ecomrece sitebuild/drop ship companies that ecomreview promotes so highly witch are actually in the same building sharing the same address.
And here are a few posts if anyone cares to see just what a couple of these sites ecomreview promotes have been up to in the past.
ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff162720.htm
ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff154991.htm
at least this answerd the question of why an offshore server you were hiding who you are witch after reading the above posted links makes perfect sense.

Now on to lies I think you have told enough for the both of us but ok and I really doubt there is a we involved on this site its just you. But Im not hard to find especially since you Know all about being a good internet investigator. IM in Utah and it's a SCAM site
I even left you a message so you would know it when you found it. It's a little messy right now do to some advertising errors but you'll know it. But please remember to be respectful to Ripoffreport This is Ed Magedson site And he has done wonders for people.

Dont flatter yourself

AUTHOR: Kent - (U.S.A.)

Don't flatter yourself

Well that answers my question and if you would like to be insulting fine.
You came on ripoffreport to promote your site ecomreview, just convinced you are smarter then everyone else ive been at this long enough to spot a company shrill when I read one ecomreview is your site and in true fashion you attacked another company in hopes of drawing people to your site.
You're a scammer trying to lure people into an already flooded market so you can make a few bucks.

I wouldn't expect you to know anything about internet investigating or research.
Seeing how you seem to be too stupid to realize you have been exposed.
This making anything you have to say useless.

Your own words prove my point

Quote
(You seem to fail to mention that ecomreview also promotes World Wide Brands, Moteng International, Wynit Inc
Unquote)

Feeder sites promote or draw traffic to another site is that plain enough for you.
Offshore hosting the main reason people use offshore hosting is to hide from taxes or to get past government regulations or to hide who they actually are.
A lot of scammer's spammers and porn dealers use them. There are reputable hosting companies in Saint Kitts and Nevis.

As for your weak stab at Utah and plyligs that is polygamists what does that have to do with anything we are discussing other than being an infantile response.

My recommendations create a new user profile and come to your own defense that's usually what shrills do in round three. Denial is another response

You have been KO'd

KENT - Offshore in Costa Rica WHY? You ask - The USA is Offshore to Costa Rica - So Utah USA would be a better selection, known here as the home of the plyligs - I think not

You seem to fail to mention that ecomreview also promotes World Wide Brands, Moteng International, Wynit Inc. And many others.

Kent, you couldn't investigate siram wrap if it were wrapped around your face

So as you say Round 2 - You have been KO'd

Ecomreview is a feeder site for sellwholesaleproducts & usellcorp

These affiliate id tell the site who gets paid for this referal Theses two promote sellwholesaleproducts & usellcorp.

Anyone surprised they rank the highest on ecomreview also the only two with working links.
So in a nutshell ecomreview gets paid when people signup for these sites. What are they going to say that these companies are junk not if they want to get paid

To sum things up Ecomreview just another feedersite to be tossed into the same pile as
Dropship review all feeder sites promote the suppliers that pay them and trash the others.

And please dont give me the old I tried this site out and just wanted to pass it on crap or we spent hundreds of dollars in research and blah blah blah

Doba - ripp-off

AUTHOR: Rebecca - (U.S.A.)

I am a Sr. Web Consultant. I've been on the internet since it was created. Doba's prices ARE NOT., I REPEAT, ARE NOT WHOLESALE.

In researching drop-shippers for a new venture, I came accross Doba. Being impressed with their "ebay certification" I signed up for a trial ONLY BECAUSE THEY WOULDN'T SHOW THEIR PRICES WITHOUT MY CONTACT INFO. I'll be tracking their SPAM to see who they sell my info too.

I took one look at their prices and knew IMMEDIATELY THAT THEY WERE A SCAM. This is not open for debate. This has nothing to do with "explosive or competitive markets" blah blah blah. This is pure honest business folks. THESE GUYS ARE A RIP-OFF DO NOT USE THEM EVER.

I'll follow up if they give me a problem getting out of their "free 7 day trial"

eComReview does not charge anyone anything, and your post makes it seem as if they do.

The charges you are referring to is from a review about World Wide Brands.

I think it's about time these so called dropshippers are put to the test.

Maybe Doba and these others will clean up their act

Dropship-Review is nothing more than a feeder site

AUTHOR: Kent - (U.S.A.)

Thanks for Welcoming me to the world wide web
now let me welcome you to the list of bottom feeders trying to sell information that is free to anyone anytime on the internet Dropship-Review is nothing more than a charade to promote Wholesale Marketer or DOBA or what ever they are calling themselves this week
It doesnt take a rocket scientist to spot a shrill or a company mouth piece. ive taken the liberty of sending emails to the companies listed on Dropship-Review to see if they even know they have been reviewed.

if you would really like to know how to make money with dropshipping read my post.

MY post is the Basinite

Case and point {DropShip Review is in business to make a profit} if they know so much about Dropshipping and how to make tens of thousands
doing it why waste time doing review sites and trying to sign up people for a service they can get for free.

Once again you do not need conpanies like DOBA to find a dropship company and just so we dont have a problem with names mine IS KENT The Basinite proud to be a thorn in the A#s of crooks and spamers

Direct Realtionship IS NOT the same as OWNING Something.

I do not have a problem with them owning this site, but MAKE IT CLEAR ON EVERY PAGE that they own it and are in deed giving themselves Top Billing.

Then we would clearly understand that they are Bias....

Several times that I read their review site and NEVER thought it was owned by DOBA, then I received an email and was asked to look deeper into this -

You're digging is pointless.

AUTHOR: Mike - (U.S.A.)

No need to dig...

Direct from Dropship-Review.com

"Why We Do It
In the interest of full disclosure, DropShip Review is in business to make a profit. We have a direct relationship with Doba and affiliate relationships with Worldwide Brands and DropShipDesign.com. Our business model is to provide valuable information about dropship suppliers and services and then make affiliate commissions by referring readers to those suppliers and services. We believe that to provide a valuable service we must strive to accurately represent the companies we review."

They say they have a direct relationship. Absolutely nothing wrong with what they're doing there. Now, reading that you may wonder how unbiased their revews can be but still... This IS NOT A SCAM and they are not tryng to pull one. This is a common online marketing method.

Most review sites are filled with affiliate links, partner links, etc. Welcome to the world wide web!

Here is an email from DOBA and by reply back to them

YOU SAID Is it illegal to work for or be a part of more than one company?

No it's not illegal, but it is sure unethical. When a company opens a review board for the same industry for which that company is involved with, for the sole purpose of highlighting your own company that is being deceitful. Its like a FOX watching the HEN HOUSE

YOU SAID It specifically states that we have a "direct relationship" with Doba.

It should say We are owned and operated by DOBA, and it should be on every page and CLEARLY STATED

YOU SAID Why not make the the Registrar information private when we registered the domain? We have nothing to hide.

Why did you change the address, the names servers etc. prior to launching this so called review site, if your intention was not to hide it from people seeing you are one of the same business's

YOU SAID We provide a valuable service and are sad that you can't see it that way--especially when you strive to provide the exact same type of service for the exact same reasons. Then again, maybe that's part of the problem--you feel threatened by another review site and by competition.

This is NOT about competition, this is about TRUTH and HONESTY. We don't even compete for the same keywords, so you are trying to dig REAL DEEP to find some excuses for your dishonest behavior.

YOU SAID After all, is there really much difference between a company paying affiliates to advertise for them and a company directly working with another to do the same thing? Both affiliates and direct partners take up search engine space

But these companies are NOT OWNED and OPPORATED by the same people - And most of all you don't see them competing in the Pay Per Clicks for the SAME KEYWORDS to get the 2-3 top spot like you are doing.

YOU SAID Competition is part of business. If your postings make the reviews on dropship-review.com invalid what affect will they have on the reviews on your own site.

Competition is part of business, not LIES and MISREPRENTATIONS. It won't make a difference on our site or other honest review site, what will make a difference if we don't STOP thieves like you from making this whole industry look as though we are all untrustworthy. SO ZYOU NEED TO BE STOPPED

YOU SAID We're both getting paid for the reviews we write. Will the readers of the posts really see the difference? If we reply to the posting won't it make you look just as bad?
No we don't get paid for what we write about a company and yes the readers will see the difference. What you a are you trying to imply, that all these readers are stupid, and they can't tell the difference. Go ahead and reply, let the readers know, let them be the judge, not YOU.

YOU SAID We sometimes have strong negative feelings about some of the companies that compete for keywords in the dropshipping space. However, we usually refrain from expressing our negative opinions or even reviewing them on our site because negative media tends to drag down the industry as a whole. Pretty soon, customers just decide they can't trust anyone and give up on starting their own business altogether even though there are a lot reliable companies, like Doba, who offer a great service.

No what will drag down this industry as a whole are people like you whom will do to any means for that mighty dollar. You will lie, cheat, make a fonie review board to get top billing. YOU and YOUR kind will drag this industry down, and I am here to STOP YOU

YOU SAID The whois information shows Brandon Williams' name and contact info.
YOU SAID Best regards, Dropship Review Support

Funny, how you would NOT use your name when signing off

Wholesale Marketer - DOBA and NOW dropship-review.com

AUTHOR: Charles - (Saint Kitts and Nevis)

Wholesale Marketer - DOBA and NOW dropship-review.com are all the same -

Now WM (DOBA) has to use tactics like setting up some review website so they can get top billing - that is discusting and so dishonest -

The comparisons with their address's and all, is to close for me to beleive that they are independent -

I wrote the a letter a few weeks ago (see below)

-----Start-------
My name is Charles and can you tell me why you would recommend such companies as:

DropshipDesigns.com
Megagoods.com
NetDropshipper.com

These people are all over the RipOffReports.com and also listed on my site - http://www.recommended-home-business.com/ as the worst companies and crook around -

http://www.ripoffreport.com/results.asp?q1=ALL&q5=dropshipdesign&submit2=Search%21&q4=&q6=&q3=&q2=&q7=

I did receive a reply (see below)

--------start---------
Charles,

You have a great looking website.

Thanks for your feedback. Perhaps we need to do a better job of clarifying some things on our site. We don't really consider 2.5 stars or less a good recommendation. We simply reviewed these services based on our opinion of the merits of each company. All of the companies you mentioned received very low scores and in the reviews, we try to point out that they would not be great choices for your business.

In the process of writing our reviews, we considered various criteria, including things we read on ripoff report and else where, but was mostly based on our own experience with each of these companies. We actually took the time to sign-up for each of these services, place orders through their systems, call their customer support, and navigate their site. Going forward, we will adjust the rankings accordingly based on communications from site readers and other industry experts like yourself.

However, we strongly believe in looking at more than just RipoffReport.com. After all, a quick search engine query for RipoffReport will reveal a lot of reasons why the site itself is a ripoff and people should be (but are not) able to file RipoffReport complaints. :)

Obviously, we're not trying to defend DropshipDesign, Megagoods, and Netdropshipper, just trying to explain how we reached our conclusions. However, based on your feedback, we'll try to come up with a better way to communicate that on our site.

Thanks,

Dropship Review Support

He has NO IDEA what he is talking about

AUTHOR: Charles - (Saint Kitts and Nevis)

First of all, the MAIN reason Wholesaler/Dropshipper want you to show them a Sales Tax Cert, is to prove to them you are real a business - THATS THE MAIN REASON -

Secondly Wholesaler/Dropshipper sells to you OUT OF STATE they have no worry about collecting Sales Tax - Sales Tax is a State issue.

If you live our of state from the Wholesaler/Dropshipper but the order is with-in the state the Wholesaler/Dropshipper will have to charge tax, but not all states have this rule, I know Florida does, so Florida wants to get a Sale Tax Cert with them as well.

But the idea that a Wholesaler/Dropshipper would get in trouble for sell products at wholesale prices to a person who does not have a Sale Tax Cert is absurd.

So Jeanne - Forest City, North Carolina I agree with you!

YOU NEED A SALES TAX ID TO BUY AT WHOLESALE PRICES!

AUTHOR: Jeanne - (U.S.A.)

Mathieu - Charlesbourg, Quebec
Canada

I'll repeat the same again: YOU NEED A SALES TAX ID TO BUY AT WHOLESALE PRICES! If not, the wholesaler has the risk of being closed (even Utah). (Your comments)

Mathieu, You are comparing Apples to Oranges, or even better, chickens to flowers. You state you are in Quebec and writing about Tax Codes in the USA. I ran a brick and stone business for several years. It is not always the wholesaler/distributor who keeps track of resale tax id information, but the store/retail business who is frequently audited by the State Taxation Department. Distributors/wholesalers set other criteria to ascertain the credibility of a business. It is always different with each company. If you are truly in Canada, then you need to learn more about doing business in the USA. NAFTA has provided many of you in other countries the ability of doing business in this country without having to pay the extra taxes that used to be the normal cost of crossing the borders. If you are going to do this, then you need to stop trying to tell the rest of us about the laws by which we live on a day to day basis. Get on with your business intentions instead of flooding blogs with countless messages.

Sorry, it just doesn't make sense. WM = Wholesale Marketeer SMC = Specialty Merchandise Corporation

AUTHOR: Mike - (U.S.A.)

WM = Wholesale Marketeer
SMC = Specialty Merchandise Corporation

Nicholas sorry, I simply don't buy it.

Everything may be on the level, this is just my opinion...

Here are a few things that just don't add up to me, but perhaps I am a cynic.

1) ALL the other reports are NEGATIVE and consistant with the types of posts you find on the ripoff report. They are YOU buying a product as a consumer and reporting them when you're upset.

2) In NONE of the other reports do you address yourself as a consumer advocate and/or doing an investigation.

3) One of your NEGITIVE posts is to a COMPETITOR of WM (SMC).

4) Your statements are INCONSISTANT. Just read these statements made by Nicholas...

NICHOLAS STATEMENT: "My reason for signing up is because I am a consumer advocate and have a hobby of investigating allegedly shady businesses. I have read over the comments provided on this website and have investigated the matter."

...OR IS IT???

NICHOLAS STATEMENT: "I found out about WM by searching for drop shipping companies on Google. I paid the fee to see what I thought of them."

...PONDER THIS!

When Nicholas rips apart SMC, a drop ship competitor of WM he states "There are tons of wholesalers out there whom will sell to you with NO "membership" fees. The only catch is you usually have to show them a copy of your business license and you tax/reseller license. (See http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff77549.htm)

BUT...

When Nicholas addresses the complaint about WM that reads "4.) I am not allowed to see the prices until I signup." he responds "True. However, this does not mean that WM is a ripoff. In my experience in researching wholesale companies, a very large majority of wholesale companies will not show you a list of their wholesale pricing until you provide proof to them that you are a legitimate business.

REMEMBER, WM DOES NOT REQUIRE A LICENSE AND ALTHOUGH HE REITERATES THAT WHOLESALERS "REQUIRE PROOF" HE DEFENDS THAT WM DOES NOT REQUIRE YOU HAVE A LICENSE.

READ THE POSTS AGAIN IF YOU HAVE TO! HE'S GONE FROM "NO FEES, NEED RESALE LICENSE" IN HIS SMC POST TO "FEES, NO RESALE LICENSE" IN HIS WM POST.

Then, oddly enough...

IN HIS SMC POST "My advice is for people to stay away from this company. If you read other reports about SMC, you will see people mention the market being over saturated with their products. This is true. Check E-bay out. You will find SMC products all over the place."

IN HIS WM POST "I won't even attempt very hard at eBay. I find eBay to be a very competitive market as well as it does not interest me all that much. That is not to say that people cannot make a living doing eBay and using WM. However, I would highly recommend that anything thinking about opening a business find their niche in the market. Do not try and sell every single item WM has to offer. Don't try and sell all the stuff you see others selling on eBay. All you are doing is decreasing your chances of winning.

Do searches. If a product you are insterested in selling on eBay already has 10+ people selling
it and their descriptions look copy and pasted, then think twice about selling their product. It would seem to me that there's already a good bit of competition there. Or, think about designing
an eBay campaign which does not look like you are using the same supplier as the others [even if you are]. Such examples would be rewording the description, change the pricing, charge a
different shipping price, etc. There's a ton of other tips I could mention on how to make it
look like you are not getting your products from the same person as many others..."

So, when you see SMC products oversaturated (on eBay for example) you say STAY AWAY from SMC. But when you see WM products oversaturated (ebay too) you say "think twice about selling the product" and even "I could mention on how to make it look like you are not getting your products from the same person as many others..."

I could go on and on. So let me get to the point. You are in bed with WM.

That being said...

**ABOUT WM/DOBA, MY HUMBLE OPINION**
It is wrong to say WM is a scam. It is not. It is a legitimate business, a scam is something entirely different. In a quick investigation of my own they look like just about the best drop shipping service around. If you're just getting started in retail sales and have the money to make the investment (living paycheck-to-paycheck you're not ready) you might want to try a WM account and get your feet wet. Seriously, if you have the money try it - business is about taking risks. Once you have more money saved switch to true wholesale.

**ABOUT THIS NICHOLAS INVESTIGATON**
WM is not a scam but this investigation is! Or the post that calls Nicholas a bad investigator is right... I could make 5 more arguements if I wasn't already laughing at myself.

Maybe WM will find who in the company is posting (Nicholas), terminate them and then will appoligize here. Or maybe Nicholas just does stink at investigations (doubtful!). Or maybe I am just wrong. Either way, I do enjoy the rants!

Information You Requested

AUTHOR: Nicholas - (U.S.A.)

I can understand how my positive review can appear to be as if I work or an connected to them. Below are the other reports I have filed in regards to other companies.

1.) ECX (Orange County) - http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff77482.htm

2.) Pizza Hut (Morgan City) - http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff168401.htm

6.) premadewebtemplates.com - http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff127091.htm

Those are all the reports I have filed against companies. I found out about WM by searching for drop shipping companies on Google. I paid the fee to see what I thought of them. If I would have found in my opinion to be scamming people, I would have posted a negative report here as well as my website.

However, I have not had any bad dealings with them. I understand people stating that they are not a true wholesaler, I agree. I even stated so in my previous posts. In regards to my comments about electronics, that is an issue I have noticed not just with WM, but with people using other drop shippers as well. They figure they will get electronics and computers at rock bottom prices.

As for the negative dealings people have had with them I really don't have a response for. I don't doubt that there may be shady sales associates at the company. Just about every company has one, especially any company where their associates work off of commission.

The subject of your report, Mike, states "No cons, I doubt it..." I'm not trying to state that there are no cons to WM. In my posts, I merely state my dealings that I have had with them. Unfortunately for those looking for me to post some horrindous negatives, I'm sorry to let those folks down.

No cons, I doubt it...

AUTHOR: Mike - (U.S.A.)

Nicholas,

To suggest that you're not somehow in bed with WM seems suspicious to me. Your 'report' was not objective at all, it was entirely positive for WM. In fact, you weren't reporting on the quality of WM you were actually giving tips. Which makes me think (unlike the last rebuttal) that you in fact ARE in wholesale...

BUT... There is a way you can prove what you say is true Nicholas... Please provide us with a link to your other ripoff reports. You know, OTHER ONES made before your one for WM. Clearly as someone who 'does this' you will have plenty of other investigations to point to and I would like to read some more.

If you really are an unbiased 3rd party then thanks for the report, but I ask anyone who read your post (or any post here) to really really digest what you're reading, see if any alarm bells go off.

If Nicholas has only posted this one 'unbiased investigation' on Ripoff Report you might really start to doubt his legitimacy. After all, there are 100s of companies with more/worse reports than WM... What would compel him to write (such an emotional) praise for WM on Ripoff Report and WM only. Nicholas, you do go through that investigation report as if you have an "interest" in WM.

Or, if he has only praised WM and his other 'investigations' are all on other wholesale related sites and he hates all of those ones...

But, if Nicholas has posted before here on other companies with other investigations then we have no reason to be suspect. So Nicholas, 'show us the money' (reports posted BEFORE the WM one, ok -- or any at all)... We will see.

Read posts before responding

AUTHOR: Nicholas - (U.S.A.)

Mathieu, your statements completely amaze me. Firstly, you state a negative comment that I am not a good investigator, yet you give no reason why I am not a good investigator. You also state that you do not mean any offense to the statement, however, you make the assumption that I know nothing about how wholesale/dropshipping/selling works. In addition, you assume that I work for WM because I am "incompitent" as the rest of the WM personnel are.

I have seen people like you in the past. You go on forums and sites to bash others using posts of negativity with no backup proof just because their opinions are not exactly that of your own.

Why am I not compitent? Why am I not a good investigator? Do you consider such because I do not agree with what your feelings are towards WM? Pretty shallow of a reason to bash someone you know nothing about.

Please actually read a post before you reply to it. You state in caps that one must have a tax ID to buy at wholesale. True, I never stated that WM was an actual wholesaler. I even included definitions from distionary.com to state my feelings on the matter.

In regards to Picksend, that is nice. I did not evaluate every single company that WM uses. In addition, I did not even state that I evaluated every single company WM goes through.

Mainly, it seems that WM offers itself as a middleman (if you read my post, I never once said that WM was NOT a middleman). They research companies, make deals with them to get others cheaper prices.

Two of the companies I know of they use are Overstock.com and fragrancex.com. You can get the same features by signing up directly with the companies, however, you may have to pay inidividual fees to the companies, whereas with wm, you have only one yearly fee.

In regards to overstock.com, you signup for a fee of $99.95/year, which is a membership for the "Wholeslae Club" overstock.com offers. You get 30% discount on most items. In regards to drop shipping, overstock.com does offer drop shipping for wholesale club members and there is no drop shipping fee.

No Offense But, On This Matter, You're Not A Good Investigator

AUTHOR: Mathieu - (Canada)

Investigating may be a hobby of yours, but it's clearly not something you excel at.

I'll repeat the same again: YOU NEED A SALES TAX ID TO BUY AT WHOLESALE PRICES! If not, the wholesaler has the risk of being closed (even Utah).

I'll help you with your "investigation": Picksend is one of the wholesalers they are middlemen for. Join them (you must have a sales tax ID: they're the REAL wholesaler/dropshipper, not a middleman), compare the prices to the ones on WM. OH, SURPRISE, THEY'RE LOWER THAN WM'S.

Do the same with Moteng.com, another wholesaler/dropshipper. OH, SURPRISE, LOWER.

Your "investigation" would be better if you actually had an idea of how wholesale/dropship/selling works: you clearly don't.

PS- You don't work for them??? You're as incompetent as the majority of their employees!!!

My Investigative Report On Wholesale Marketer

AUTHOR: Nicholas - (U.S.A.)

I signed up with this company not even a month ago [Monday the 19th will be one month exactly].

My reason for signing up is because I am a consumer advocate and have a hobby of investigating

allegedly shady businesses. I have read over the comments provided on this website and have

investigated the matter. I have tried my best to include as many of the complaints as possible

and to explain the results of my investigation. To answer beforehand, no, I do not work for WM.

I am only a customer of theirs. Throughout this report, I will refer to "Wholesale Marketer" as

WM. I am stating this since I do mention Wal-Mart and do not want the two to be confused when I

use WM.

1.) People complain they can get an xbox cheaper at their local retail stores than through WM.

That I do not doubt at all. As has been posted prior, the electronics field is a highly

competitive market. The only way to really make a decent profit is to buy electronics by the

pallets at true wholesale rates.

2.) WM marks up their prices.

According to my findings, no. Just because you can find a product cheaper at another store than

at what WM sells it at does not mean that WM "marks up" their prices. Think about it. Retail

stores, wholesalers, etc do not all buy from the same distributor. Do you think RCA, Emerson,

and so forth sells only to one distributor? Heck no. They sell to hundreds of others, whom then

sell to,whether it be you or another company. Therefore, there are fluxuations in prices all

depending on the quantity the original distributor bought, pricing of that quantity, and so

forth. There's a ton of variables which determine the final price. That is just plain business

economics. So if you buy an xbox at Joe's Electronics [a fictitious company] for x-amount.

Then, you see another store selling it for cheaper, does that mean that Joe's Electronics raised

their prices? Maybe the distributor that Joe got their xboxes from were more expensive than the

distributor that the other store bought theirs from.

3.) WM is not a true wholesaler. This is true. I say this based on the definition given by

dictionary.com:

Wholesale

[noun] - The sale of goods in large quantities, as for resale by a retailer.

[adjetive] - Of or relating to, or engaged in the sale of goods in large quantities for resale.

[adverb] - In large bulk or quantity.

Therefore, I conclude that WM is not a wholesale company in the sense of the actual definition of

what wholesale means. A "true" wholesale company sells to retailers and others, but in large

quantities [usually by the pallet or other large quantity].

4.) I am not allowed to see the prices until I signup.

True. However, this does not mean that WM is a ripoff. In my experience in researching

wholesale companies, a very large majority of wholesale companies will not show you a list of

their wholesale pricing until you provide proof to them that you are a legitimate business.

5.) WM does not ask proof that you are a resale business and that's illegal.

I have done research on the laws of the state of Utah. Mainly it states that in order to do

"resale", you must have a resale license. All this means is that WM does not charge you tax and

that you are now the one responsible for collecting taxes when you sell that item. One of the

FAQ [Frequently Asked Questions] on the WM site is "Do I get charged sales tax on my orders?"

The response is "No, you are representing that all purchases through our site are for resell. As

such, we are not required to withhold sales tax."

I take it that if WM would ever be audited for the sales tax issue, they have your information as

well as every other member. I beleive they could use that as proof along with their invoices to

at least show the IRS whom bought the product[s] and have a legitimate reason for not charging

taxes.

Now, you might be thinking that WM would try and get you in trouble with the IRS by turning your

info over? Nope, not at all. WM would be doing the same exact thing that any business which

sells wholesale or "tax exempt" items would do. It's simply part of business and is no different

than if they asked you for your a resell license. In that case, WM or any other company would

give the IRS a copy of your resale license.

The IRS wants to know why taxes weren't collected. WM says because we sold it to John's Widgets.

The IRS wants to know who owns John's Widgets. WM provides the info. If the IRS contacts you,

then it should not be an issue. Simply tell the IRS that you did charge taxes when you sold the

product [of which you would have sent that tax money in according to the proper method, depending

on your business location] or tell them you did not charge taxes and show them the the proof you

didn't and explain why.

6.) Continuation of marked up prices.

As I previously stated, electronics are a very competitive market. This I have noticed has been

mentioned more than once in responses. Now, do they really have cheap prices? Yeap. I have

done price comparisons.

I have looked at two of their warehouses that I am interested in. By doing some reverse tracing

of information, I had located the actual suppliers. In doing so, I was able to get an idea of

whether each warehouse was giving the discount as stated on the website. You do in fact get the

discount they stated on the informaton page of each warehouse.

In addition, the products/warehouses I am interested in are even cheaper through WM than the

original supplier as well as even through Wal-Mart. This shows that by looking for your niche in

the market, you can get some really great deals through WM. When I done the price comparison, I

used the following system:

WM discount price + shipping & handling + drop shipping fee = Total WM price

Retailer price + shipping and handling = Total retailer price

The retailer price being the price of whatever retail company I compare prices with WM. Then I

compared the two prices. After all, to see if you are saving, you must add in all the fees

associated with WM and the other retailers. As for the monthly fee/yearly fee you pay to WM,

well, in order to get an approximation on that you would have to see how well you do business

wise. However, if one is serious about running a business, then the WM fee can be considered as

a tax writeoff as it is a business expense.

In conclusion, all I can really say is that it seems that the main issue is that people are

expecting to jump in to the electronics industry with little to no upfront costs. Next, it seems

that people are not willing to put forth an effort to make a business work. Personally, I plan

on using WM to open a small online shop. I won't even attempt very hard at eBay. I find eBay to

be a very competitive market as well as it does not interest me all that much. That is not to

say that people cannot make a living doing eBay and using WM. However, I would highly recommend

that anything thinking about opening a business find their niche in the market. Do not try and

sell every single item WM has to offer. Don't try and sell all the stuff you see others selling

on eBay. All you are doing is decreasing your chances of winning.

Do searches. If a product you are insterested in selling on eBay already has 10+ people selling

it and their descriptions look copy and pasted, then think twice about selling their product. It

would seem to me that there's already a good bit of competition there. Or, think about designing

an eBay campaign which does not look like you are using the same supplier as the others [even if

you are]. Such examples would be rewording the description, change the pricing, charge a

different shipping price, etc. There's a ton of other tips I could mention on how to make it

look like you are not getting your products from the same person as many others, but that is a

whole article in itself.

LOL Russell Whatever floats your boat.

AUTHOR: Mathieu - (Canada)

"I did the research, you obviously did not."

If you REALLY did the research, then tell me why you prefer buying your products through Wholesale Marketer (a middleman that marks up prices: it's illegal to sell to somebody with no sales tax ID - therefore Wholesale Marketer would be illegal if they REALLY were selling at wholesale prices to their members), instead of buying them for a lower price directly with the wholesaler (of course then you'd need a sales tax ID, but it's not so hard to get)?

You can get the same products, at a much lower price, from the same wholesalers Wholesale Marketer is dealing with!

You still have some research to make, my friend. Unless you prefer having a lower profit margin? Whatever floats your boat.

I am just smart enough to know not to compete in the elctronics & computer industry, as their is a price war going on in that field.

But alas, I did the research, you obviously did not.

You MUST do your homework, before and after you get started...

Wholesalemarketer.com is a great company. I am one of the sales representatives with the company. When I first started and I knew nothing about the company, I was very skeptical about what I was offering. I have now had the opportunity to help many other people including myself make money from selling online.

There are many factors to consider when choosing a wholesaler. First, we all know that they have to make their money somewhere. The best part about what we do is we charge a low yearly or monthly membership to have access to all of our services. This way you know exactly what your bottom line is. There are no hidden fees. We also make no money from the products you sell. If you are signing up with a free company, make sure that there are no minimum order requirements, no quantity requirements, and/or no minimum monthly order requirements. Also make sure that the company is not marking up the products they sell to you. When they do this they are stealing your profit potential. I would rather pay upfront, than have my profit potential cut out from under me.

Second, are the products from the company you are choosing all brand new? Our products are all new and come with a manufacturer warranty. We also ship them out with full shipping insurance. We are not like some other companies that have their own little knick-knack line. Our products are all name brand products.

Third, all of the LEGITIMATE complaints against our company have been resolved with both parties coming out happy. We are the ONLY eBay Certified drop shipper in the world. eBay puts a lot of trust in us to do what we say we will do and we have to meet all of eBay's high service and support standards. (goto... http://developer.ebay.com/certifiedprovider/ ...to see what we had to do as a company to achieve this accolade. If hte best and biggest and probably most competitive auction site in the world says that we are who we say we are and that we do what we say we do, then who is anyone to argue with that.

Finally...

Everytime a good thing comes around, there will always be someone to dispute it or to disagree with it. In the history of the world, every good thing that has ever happened, or been invented has been scrutinized in some way or another. Think of Ben Franklin and how he was scrutinized about his research on the lightbulb.

If someone is going to only believe the few negative things said about any company without checking it out for themselves, you may as well believe what the naysayers back in Ben Franklin's day said about him and the lightbulb. Let's think about this...If someone is looking for something worng, they will find it. If someone is truly trying to succeed, then there is a VERY good chance that they will with whatever they do.

Thanks for your time...
