Wickes Furniture and Rooms To Go Furniture sold me a warranty and now they won't honor the warranty. rip-off Dallas Texas

I purchased furniture from Wickes Furniture in Dallas, TX. At that time I was sold an extended warranty that guaranteed in-home repair or replacement of the furniture. Approx 6 mos later the cushions on the sofa started to degrade and "pack down". A one inch rip in the seam was also evident. The two "side chairs" - that are hardly ever sat in, developed tears in their seams on the side where the piping is joined. The couch is a la-z boy brand and the two chairs are not.

Wickes moved out of Texas and Rooms To Go was to issue warranty service and repairs in Texas. I first started phoning Rooms To Go in December of 2002 for repair. A technician came out, told me he had ordered the parts and that my furniture would be repaired. After approx two months and many phone calls to Rooms To Go, who said new cushions were still on order, I started to complain.

I was then instructed that they did not repair La Z Boy furniture, that I needed to contact the manufacturer directly for repairs. Upon doing this, I was informed by LaZ Boy that they did not honor any insurance I had purchased and that if I wanted anything repaired, that I needed to bring the furniture into them or they would change me to pick up or repair the furniture in my home as my warrenty/insurance policy states. I have gone between Wickes Furniture, Rooms To Go and La Z Boy for 7 months now.

Approximately one week ago, Rooms to Go phoned me to say they had agreed to fix the furniture and they were sending yet another rep out to look at the furniture. The rep reported back to Rooms To Go that the couch had normal wear and tear and completely ignored the side chairs that weren't manufactured by La Z Boy Co. The furniture was less than 6 mos. old when the problem was first reported and now it is 7 months later and it is suddenly "normal wear and tear". The first Rooms to Go rep said it was no normal wear and tear and they would fix it, but now its all normal.
