All of this because I filled out a sweepstakes giveaway at a Midas car shop. Thinking it was too good to be true I googled 'Wilderness Presidential Resorts' and boy am I glad I did. Thanks to this site (http://800notes.com/awl/nb/r.ashx?ue=Qb0hmL4QTN3EzXtF2YT9Fdy92clJ1XsFWa05WZkl2clJHUfN3cl5mclRGbpd1L0IzL5JXY1JnYlZ2L3ADMy8SbvNmLzRnbpFGbw12bj5yd3d3LvoDc0RHa) I was able to save myself a lot of time and anger.
Hopefully this message will help people receiving this same call realize ITS A COMPLETE SCAM. And you better believe that when I receive the call on Saturday I am going to give them a piece of my mind.

My oldest daughter and I have enjoyed the paddle boats, indoor swimming pool, playgrounds, miniature golf-range, gym, and the many numerous art activities. The campground is centrally located-we have taken her to see the monuments in DC, Mt Vernon, the DC zoo, funland in Fred., snowskiing in Wintergreen, the list goes on and on. I can't wait to take my youngest daughter. My wife and I even tease about spreading my ashes on the campground once I pass.
We own at other time shares-do not regret them either. The difference between Wilderness and the others is that owners at other time shares use them once a year. You can use Wilderness as much as you like. The others have maintenance fees as well. As far as the argument about trying to sell once you are an owner, good luck selling the others either.
I would like to now remind each person that feels as if they were scammed that is was your decision to purchase in the first place. No one twisted your arm or held a gun at your head. I do not recall a time at any of my time-share purchases that I was made to buy.
To Wilderness: thank you for the memories and the years that I have been a member. I intend on many more of both to come. My wife and I could never afford to own a second home on the lake-let alone for as little as we pay as members. I wish my taxes on my home were as cheap as my maintenance fees. When you look at it like that-the expenses that would come with ownership of a second vacation home (Gee, I wonder what a second home on lake front property would cost?), it doesn't feel like such a scam!!!! P.S. I write this as I prepare to pay my maintenance fees. Again, when compared to the expenses that a second home would have or associaton fees that such a beautiful place would have, they seem very little.
