Wildtangent software was installed in a new laptop.  My wife liked the scrabble game and thought she was buying for a 1-time fee of 6.99.  Now we found out they want to charge us 6.99 for 12 months, just basically to rent the game!  That is ridiculous..I would have never bought any single game for more than $10.00 when you can play so many for free online.

No one to contact at company.  I guess I will contact my credit card company.

Similar experience, formal complaint filed

Because of wildtangent's failure to reveal all the terms of service and trapping customers into unwanted annual subscriptions without substantial penalties, and also their rendering wildcoins non-negotiable for game purchase after the wildclub membership has been cancelled, a formal complaint has been filed with the Better Business Bureau, and also the Attorney General for the state of Washington.  The desired resolution is that either Wildtangent refund the subscription paid or to allow the user to use online wildcoins that have already been paid for to purchase a game outright with those coins, regardless of wildclub subscription status.
