Williston Animal Group Denied adoption of elderly dogs. Williston, Florida

This group denied me the right to adopt 2 elderly dogs which I knew since they were puppies. My neighbor decided she wanted to move and thus dumped her 9 and 10 year old dogs but, she had to pay 100 each dog. I told my neighbor she should be ashamed of herself having these dogs go through the stress of leaving a familiar home and go into cement kennels with so called 3x/day out of the fence activity. I told her they could die from stress and grief just as humans do. Her comment back at me was "YEA! YEA! YEA!" I also sent her an email to enforce my belief and the heading said Clyde and Roscoe die from grief. She told the rescue I sent her a nasty malicious email. These dogs are so overweight that the lab with known hip problems kept limping when I was there.

The volunteer who met me at the gate ask my name and when I told her she was very defensive, accusatory, barking out lies and could not back anything up with proof including the statement the owner said"I  can't adequately take care of them. I have impeccable references from Veterinarians and domestic amd wildlife rescues where I volunteer my time and money to support animals in need, I also foster with 3 different dog rescues. I am a registered nurse with the ability to make upwards of 60,000 per year and yet I'm not capable. If the owner cared and if this rescue cared they would check their facts and look at the best interest of the animals and not the owner who carelessly dumped her dogs in their golden years. She claimed health problems but, that wasn't stopping her from sucking on a cigarette every hour! P.S. I have the sister to one of these dogs and the other one I adopted per my neighbor and gave him to her.

One last thing---they have about 10 kennels which by now only have 2 dogs(the ones I want) yet they have animals on petfinder.com for adoption but, when I ask the volunteer where are all the dogs she said we're that good we find homes for all of them and don't have any in foster homes right now. So, where are the dogs advertised on the internet.? In space? The volunteer also prided herself in saying there are people interested in one but not both dogs and shes ok with adopting and separating them once again. How much stress do they want these dogs to go through with until they die? My heart is just aching for these dogs I was so use to seeing them everyday directly across the street from my house.  I hope anyone living in Florida near me will think twice about taking an animal to these people who give more rights to the previous owner than to the dog and his well being. The volunteer also sent me an email telling me I spit venom and she hopes I rot in h*ll.  Nice Uh?  Thanks for listening.
