Things just keep going the wrong way at Willow Creek Assisted Living, San Martin, Las Vegas, Nevada.

The place is in financial upheaval. In addition to the misappropriation of funds referenced in other reports previously, we now have information that should give anyone pause before considering placing a loved one at this facility.

There already have been resignations over the financial issues there, and now there are rumors that a new CEO is being brought onboard, which should raise some red flags. If you're considering placing a loved one at Willow Creek San Martin, you should do your homework and proceed with an abundance of caution.

We're checking out the information we've received, but the allegations are that this new CEO, Randall Bruce Barlow who we believe is from south Florida, has a very murky past that includes a bankruptcy filing. Not good news if you're hiring someone to help right the ship at Willow Creek. It's problems are many.

Do yourself a favor and ask for proof of financial stability at Willow Creek. Ensure the status of the mortgage there is current, that their insurance is paid up and active, and that they can document all that and guarantee that their funds are not being squandered on frivolous expenditures, like, oh, say, shifting their capital from out of their operating account to be used to invest in and fund a local gun/shooting range in Las Vegas.

And recognize that there are issues at Willow Creek that go beyond their financial status, from allegations of a registered sex offender working there, to issues with the principal owner, Donald Herman, to high-powered weapons, suicide, drugs and other unsavory problems.
