Windows Doors and More Gary Michael Lange aka Mike Lange Dishonest Business Practices and Deceptive Marketing Alabaster, Alabama

We hired Windows Doors and More of Alabaster Alabama after receiving a Bright Yellow Flier in our mail box "claiming" expertise in Windows and diagnostic expertise of window issues. 

We met with Mike Lange in our home on several occasions, asked many questions, obtained a copy of his E & O insurance etc. 

We contracted with his company to diagnose a window leak issue and repair and replace all the affected windows and wall areas.  We were very specific in our request and very clear in our goals.   Mr. Lange assured us his "very professional" company could handle the job.  The contract was line by line itemized.

Mr. Lange used non-licensed roofers, never stepped foot on the property during the project, had a very un-professional foreman, painters and crew.  After the job was supposedly complete we found paint all over our wood floors, overspray on windows that were to be cleaned, the paint job in our very high end home looked like a child painted it.  In fact I had the painter re-paint and re-do sheet rock work 3 times!  We were away with my mother-in-law who passed away while Mike Lange's crew was wreaking havoc on our home.

I came home to find his painter and all their family having a party on MY DECK! during working hours and these were people that were NOT part of the crew in my home.

When we complained to Mr. Lange he acknowledged the poor workmanship and then presented us with a bill for $50,000 to repair their mess!! 

Within 1 month of Windows, Doors and More doing a 3 month $80k+ repairs we had water running in our house, rotten wood (supposedly replaced), and we gained a new problem MOLD!  We had to hire another company to come in and fix the windows. 

Windows Doors and More voided ALL of our brand new window warranties, the manufacturers refused to work with us, the seal was broken in one of the 6'x10' picture windows that Windows Doors and More installed and they would not give us the name of the manufacturer so that we could get the window replaced under warranty.

After 5 years, of legal battles, Windows Doors and More putting their assets in an LLC AFTER the suit was filed, changing E&O insurance in the middle of our job without letting us know, our having to move for health and safety reasons, ruined wood floors, and depositions in which Mike Lange stated they did not perform the items listed on the agreement we settled to get this stress off our plate.  We DID NOT recuperate for our damages, loss or stress. 

DO NOT use this company, we have heard others have had the same problems.
